I have the tray insert. I saw someone else had it too. I wasn't sure if it was worth buying the safe if I couldn't use it and the tray. Someone else wrote that you could. I went ahead and bought it. Perfect! I can use both together. I wanted this because I can't carry my gun into the hospital at work but I have a lot of stop lights in the city my work is in, that are in sketchy areas. I've had people come up to my car that were up to no good many times when driving cities. I guess small girls are easy targets. I keep it close. While at work, it now gets locked in the center. I know being plastic, if someone really wanted in, they would. It would be a lot of effect and become obvious. Between a car alarm and now this.. I'm happy. This works great for the 2021 Rav4 XLE that for some reason doesn't have a locking glove box lol.

I like that it sections off areas in glovebox so everything is not just a dump of stuff you have to dig through to find what you need. I don’t like that with it now in, I cannot fit my massive 6” x 9”x 2.5” car manual/encyclopedia. Trying to put the divider in took a bit of time due to package not coming with instruction ( you have to guess how it goes together or pull up the Amazon pictures) and the side pieces being loose/not able to attach in a way that they don’t keep falling off or misaligning due to the stickies sticking in the glove compartment before you are ready for them to. Maybe doing them at night with a flashlight and cabin lights didn’t help much either because black divider in a deep dark glove compartment at night create shadows that don’t help you in the set up. Overall I’m satisfied with the outcome. Nice idea if you want that xtra organization in the car.

Very simple to install. It took longer for me to clean out the center console than it did to install the vault. Reading reviews and questions, the one thing I couldn't find was how the tray insert would fit. So yes, the tray fits perfectly with the vault underneath.

I purchased this when I first got my rav4 and it was a great purchase. I use it to hold my phone when I drive and it just makes my center console not too crowded. I wish the inserts were slightly larger so I could hold more but I do recommend for anyone who has a rav4.

its a good fit, but not so tight, maybe my glovebox is a couple of mm wider, but it wasn't tight to forget about it. I removed some stuff from the glovebox and brought it with me. I would have put 2 o 3 thickness of double side tape so it gets narrower and fits more rugged, but I didn't... instead I super glued the rails where you slide it, and now it doesnt move or lift.

Fits like a tailor made glove. Snug...doesn't rattle around. Perfect for phone and other items. The open slots come with a pad that makes items hold tight.

The box installed in my SUV easily. It fits perfectly. There are a few things to keep in mind. The lock is not secure. As I was trying to reset the lock code the lid slipped out of my had and I ended up with an unknown code. Using the tool that came with the lock I was able to pick the lock and find the code. Then I reset it. As I have only watched videos on picking locks and never done it before this was not a good sign. The numbers on the lock are small and hard to see in the dim light of the compartment. I am using it because I am using it to help secure things that I do not leave in the vehicle very long. It will slow someone down and because I keep some things on top it is not readily visible. The other thing that could be improved is that the lid should have a hinge on it. That would make it so much easier to use as I always have to fight to get it in place which is complicated again by the dark nature of its location. This box will server my purpose and for the money it is not terrible, but purchasers should understand it's limitations

Purchased for my 2021 Rav 4 Limited. It was a perfect fit! Slid right in and stays in place. Holds my iPhone 12 pro max comfortably when plugged in for apply car play ( I removed the slip pad on the left side so it fit's in better with my giant case lol and gives that little bit of extra room if one is on the charging pad. Overall was very pleased, it also shipped very quickly, expected date was February 7th and it came January 31st!

Me encantó, sin duda fue una excelente compra, ajusta perfecto a la Rav4 2021, parece que viniera ya como parte de la camioneta, no tiene juego por lo que no hace ruido para nada. Tiene espacio para colocar el celular, tarjetas etc si llevas ocupado el cargador, me gustó mucho. Lo recomiendo totalmente. Precio excelente para la calidad 👌

Fits perfectly. Comes with little rubber mats which are slightly warped but no big deal. IPhone 8+ fits with 1 1/2 inch coming out. Cards and other small objects can be difficult to pull out but thanks to the rubber mats, it makes it easier. Solid plastic built.

It held a phone with a thin case, but not one with a folding case. Neither fit in a convenient way to make it useful. Instead it reduced the amount of space underneath, made it nearly impossible to reach the USB jack, and made the phones stick out so that they could get knocked when shifting. I'm better off with out it.

I'm impressed. It looks as though it came with the car. Nice tight fit. No rattles. Extra space for stuff. Perfect!!2019 Rav4 hybrid
