Just a small amount gives my hair a clean yet matte finish that looks like I care but somehow didn't use product.

As hair product, this stuff works. It holds, it doesn't make your hair look greasy. It's fine. That's not my qualm.The smell of the stuff is so overwhelming with a cheap fragrance that it's literally unbearable. It smells like that body spray preteens spray on themselves when they don't want to shower. It's really really bad.This product isn't for me. I can't walk around smelling like that.

I really liked using this product, and bought it consistently for a year when it was about $15. Now, post covid, the price has risen by almost 50%!!!!I understand inflation and supply chain issues, but this increase is outrageous. There are other items on Amazon that are just as good, for less money

This medium hold hair paste has a fresh clean smell to it. It’s actually very pleasant. The white colored hair paste comes in a simple plastic jar, which I appreciate since they didn’t waste a lot of money on a fancy container (it’s just hair paste, right?).The consistency is a heavy paste that is easily removed with a finger. It spreads around easily in my fingers and applies to my hair well. After I run my fingers through my hair a few times, I can tell the product left my hands and was left on my hair, since my hands are not white any longer. A simple brush styles my hair to what I like. My hair then stays in that position without being really stiff or brittle.Overall I like the product and it does well in my shorter, lighter hair to maintain control.

The ECRU NEW YORK Defining Paste allows for flexible structure and gives my husband's hair a rough, slept-in texture that I really love. One of the best things about this product is its pliability for restyling throughout the day. Great option for anyone looking for a versatile styling product that can help achieve a relaxed and effortless look.

I’m a big fan of ECRU. I’ve been using their products for years now. I saw this and immediately was excited! My boyfriend was using another brand of pomade that made his hair look greasy. I wasn’t sure if it was his hair or the product. Now, I know….. It was the product!This pomade is so much better! It does not make his hair look or feel greasy at all. He uses just a tiny dab and pats it on his hair while he’s styling. He likes to do a little pompadour at the front of his head, and this works great for that.We also live on the East Coast where it gets humid here, and this helps keep his hair in place without frizzing. So glad we found this, and will continuing using. Love it!

The media could not be loaded.  Overall this works well and is really a great value. Consistency is relatively thick but I found this works the best when you rub it a bit between your hands and warm it up. I feel it’s best to apply it to hair that’s somewhat damp. Spraying your hair with a mist of water before applying really makes a huge difference.I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. It provides a loose hold and prevents frizz during the day.This product is definitely 5 star worthy.

This is definitely not my favorite hair product I have used, and I have used a lot. One of my favorite things is trying new hair products.Overall, the product and packaging is fine and the paste feels nice in the hand and out of the container. Applies pretty well, although it can get a few chunks if you don't fully smooth out onto your hand prior. Where this product is lacking is the final result. I prefer a more workable, light hold matte result, and this left me with a gel-like finish with some shine. Not what I was expecting from a medium hold defining paste. It could be more because it had to go on wet hair as there is no way it will go through my hair dry (light, frizzy short hair), so maybe I am just not the right audience for this product.Good ingredients and good feel, but not the result I was looking for personally.
