Don't get me wrong, this is a nice statue, especially for what you are paying, but what you see is clearly not what you get.I guess the pictures being used to advertise this product are just pictures of the prototype, and when I saw them, I immediately fell in love. I've never seen a Superman statue that captured his face so well. There was so much detail especially in his eyes, and it was for that reason alone I immediately ordered this item.Imagine my disappointment though when I saw the actual product. The eyes were much smaller and there was so much less detail in both the paint and sculpting in the entire face (I have attached a picture for comparison). So much so, I almost believed this was a cheap Chinese knock off. Unfortunately that was not the case, because I went and checked several unboxing videos online and confirmed that this is just how the finalized product actually looks.In any case, if I'd never seen the prototoype, then yes, this is a nice statue. The paint job isn't necessarily cheap or bad, but when you compare it to what Kotobukiya advertised, the actual product pales in comparison. I now know that I will no longer preorder anything form this company and wait to see unboxing videos before making any purchases because apparently what you see in their advertised pictures is not what you get, but I at least hope I saved someone else the same mistake I made with this review.
