The broth was flavorful without overly tasting like seawater. Your paella will have a rich squid ink taste. We added KewPie mayo on top before serving to get a creamy taste.Your house will smell like what the packaging exactly says…squid.Make sure to follow instruction for good results.I thought 1 1/4 cup of rice won’t be enough for a fam of 3 but we managed to have a bit of leftover because we were full.

Coming from Spain it is always challenging to make a "Arroz negro" like those in a restaurant. Before using Aneto I would cook my own broth with fish bones and heads and squid ink. With Aneto the result is the same without all the hustle and hours of cooking. Very happy to have found it in the US.

I am not a paella expert, but I have had it at some fine restaurants, including in Spain, and this matches the best. I just follow the very simple instructions on the package and enjoy perfectly seasoned paella... Even has a little soccarro, the heavenly crust.

Product tasted great, however it didn’t completely darken my food like cuddlefish ink does so my food was still a bit white until I added cuddlefish ink.

We really enjoyed this product! I made arroz negro with a recipe that used this broth and it turned out fantastic. It was a very impressive dish without having to buy saffron and squid ink (that I might not use again).

We always crave for paella negra. This broth mix now satisfies that craving. It is just enough for a 4 serving paella and is very easy to use plus tastes great! One other plus for us is that it has all ingredients we can actually recognize!
