Nothing new
Having worked as a teaching assistant in a KS1 unit for children with ASD I thought this book would offer new activities and ideas. However, it only told me what we already do in our everyday practice with our little ones. Personally I found this disappointing but this would be a useful book for teachers and teaching assistants supporting children with ASD in mainsteam classrooms.

Love it!
I love this book! It is an amazing resource for those who work with kids with autism. Although it's amazing useful for how to teach art to kids with an ASD, I have found that a lot of it transfers over into teaching them anything. It helped me prepare for teaching art to kids with autism and down's syndrome as well as seniors with dementia.

Qualitative Research Based
I purchased this book while writing my Graduate Thesis Project. It is full of insightful research and lists several way to approach the issue of teaching children with autism in the art environment without overstimulating them and still achieving maximum results. A good piece of qualitative writing for any teacher.
