I used it as a pond liner for a 2000 gallon fish pond that I created, but it tore during the winter after 6 months of use and my pond began to leak. Luckily, I was able to save the fish in time. So if you're going to use it as a pond liner, I would NOT recommend.

Ordered this tarp to serve as a temporary ground cover for my pets in our backyard. Our house is brand new and our backyard is nothing but mud and rocks. So far, it has held up against the nails of my German Shepherd and cat walking on top of it all day. Definitely waterproof since the water pools on it for a long time when it rains. Mind you, I've looked at a lot of tarps and this one had overall positive reviews. Now I know why!Update - 5/2/2020The tarp is still holding up strong with a few holes. Exceeded my expectations!

Ok we bought this to cover up a table and some exercise equiptment in the back yard for the winter, and upon opening this I realized 20x20 IS HUGE, we have it folded in half to cover the stuff up, and right off the top, this is a heavy duty tarp, I didn't see any problems with the grommets and the quality looks good so far, will update with any changes.

Excellent tarp which I needed for a car/boat port. It has plenty of grommets so that it fastens down security on all sides - other tarps don't have as many grommets and may be more wind risky. Just be sure to buy plenty of the elastic ball fasteners. I did not have enough and had to buy more. The tarp is very heavy duty and should provide good sun protection on my side yard. Great product!!

I would say it was medium duty. I used it for shade over my van during the total solar eclipse, where I was parked with no shade for several days in hot weather, and it worked great for that! None of the grommets tore out even though there was significant wind for 3 days.

I purchased it to wrap my car for our backpacking trip in Mineral King where marmots are known to climb under the hood and chew the wires and hoses. It worked very well against the marmots for our trip. It is very large, enough to cover almost the entire body of a sedan. It is very thick and durable.

I purchased this for my dog’s pen to keep the upcoming snow or rain off her. I’m glad I purchased it, it looks like it will last awhile.

Seems to be a good tarp, fairly heavy duty. A couple of gromets have already ripped out a month in, but seems to be holding up other than that.

Considering what type of product this is and having only just received it, judging any kind of quality at this early stage of ownership is somewhat superfluous. Time will tell if it is worthy of any quantity of stars. I can't think of a good reason for asking that question, if you have a system that scans purchasing facts you wouldn't be asking. I am using this item as a backup to improve weather resistance of my tarp-type car port which is suffering from fatigue.
