Afro Vegan: Family recipes from a British-Nigerian kitchen

This book has a good mix of recipes that are simple to make, easy to follow, and those that are a little bit more adventurous and time-consuming (but nevertheless worth it). It mostly contains savoury recipes, if you're lacking inspiration for your daily meals. But there's also a good handful of sweet treats, snacks and drinks. My personal favourite is the Nutty Plantain Brownies (p. 138); I find that vegan brownies often lack that chewy, fudgy yet crunchy on the outside balance, but this recipe works perfectly!

Have really enjoyed finding new exciting recipes from Afro Vegan, easy to ready and follow, easily accessible recipes with a storyline for each recipe. Great pictures not just of food but also of the authors family. Definitely recommend 10/10

A great cookbook that draws a unique bridge between Nigeria and non-meat eating. The colourful and healthy ingredients make a great spectacle on the dinner table.Easy to follow recipes mean even as a very amateur 'cook' I can impress any guest and I'd recommend this book to all vegans and non-vegans alike!My favourites (so far!):Asaro-stuffed sweet potatoesJollof Quinoa stuffed peppersFluffy coconut layer cake

I love this book …as a vegan I have been waiting for a book like this and it did not disappoint.Delicious varied recipes with flavoursome spices.. Highly recommended.Jo

The book itself looks great. However... it arrived damaged. Looked like it had water damage and had been folded in half as both front and back were creased in thr same place. The box was unaffected so must have been dispatched in that condition. Was a gift so very disappointing.

Great recipes and amazing colors in the book. Cant wait to try out the recipes.

This book is a feast for the eyes, such lovely photographs. I am going to buy as gifts for all my Afro Vegan and Non Vegan friends too !

Strangely enough, my previous negative review of this book was actually never published. I wonder why...And it was negative because this "vegan" book normalizes even further the animal exploitation for purposes of children's amusement.As soon as I saw that, I returned the book immediately.
