Logic: Propositional Logic (Quick Study: Academic)

A good practical basic outline and guide to propositional logic for those taking this philosophy course.
First off, this four page laminated outline (Logic: The basic principles of propositional & syllogistic logic-plus quantification theory published by Quick Study Academic) is not a substitute for reading specialized books on this topic. This is an advanced college level outline for those studying philosophy and in particular the basic and advanced principles of logic. In fact, if you have not already taken a basic course in logic this outline may have material you may not understand.Fortunately, I was familiar with some of the material (syllogistic logic) and found this outline very informative. This outline covers the following areas: Basic elements, truth-table method, inference: premises and conclusion, shorter truth-table method, truth-tree method, proofs by natural deduction, symbol notation, truth-tree method for quantification theory, forms of statements, syllogistic reasoning, immediate inferences based on classical square of opposition, and enthymemes. The numerous symbols, definitions and examples will provide students with a good basic understanding of propositional logic; however, nothing can replace a philosophy professor who can explain the finer details of this subject.Rating: 4 Stars. Clear Synopsis of the Discipline of Sound Reasoning
Read with an introduction to logic, this BarChart fits well with the student who wishes to 'think-straight,' a task which seems harder to do in this age when ideology and dogma clutter the open-ness of mind which is the requisite of reality-based progress.I carry this chart with me in my back-pack and refer to it often as a corrective to 'boners' and lapses in sound reason. Would that everyone who is patsy for demogogues could do the same! For the price and for the reward of clear address to problem-solving, this chart is certainly 'well worth the price.'--Vernon Lynn Stephens

Well Laid Out and Not SO Expensive
Love it and am looking forward to doing a little self-teaching base on the Quick Study Guide.

I completed a Logic class about a year ago and having this Quickstudy is a good reference instead of digging into my notes or textbook .

Handy Reference
All of knowledge on one sheet. Okay, 2 sided, but still. Very useful, especially if you have studied the material in advance.

Good Quick Reference
Durable, may be punched to fit a ring binder, fit in standard binder cover pockets, and good for skim-studying or memory refreshing on a topic.

Concise, helpful
Arrived on time, great condition. Print is very small small, though, and really this should have been 6 pages instead of 4. Also, could have benefited from more detailed examples but worth the price for a rookie like me.
