Easy to install on a Ford Truck. We were putting in a new radio and decided to add a camera. We picked this one based on reviews. Installation was easy, black wire to ground, red wire to the backup lights, RCA plug to the radio. If you wired the red to an ignition hot you could use the camera whenever the truck was on. We took the easy way. Maybe rewire in the spring so we can see what's on the trailer when we tow.Adding a 1 month follow. Everything is good, no issues. I did learn on installation the camera can mirror. This can be used in front with no issues. If in the rear it will mirror, left is right, right is left. You must clip the white loop wire at the plug.

After my first camera did not work, I contacted brand motion who would not work with me due to me purchasing the merchandise through amazon. So I contacted amazon and they sent me another camera. This product works fantastic. Great upgrade for an older vehicle.

After spending hours doing a careful high quality installation into our 2010 VW Jetta TDI, with a modern Sony head unit, the video quality is very poor. I tried rewiring it all based upon rumor that VWs (and other German cars) use an oscillating voltage technology called PWM. The video is great when the engine is off, but it flickers wildly when the engine is running - especially when we need it the most, when backing up in reverse. I like the form factor (how it mounted on the license plate) but I would not buy this camera again. It's unusable.

Purchased the same model for 2nd time, good quality at reasonable price

This product has 2 main flaws which makes me not recommend it.1. There is no set screw to tighen the camera once installed. You can kind of tighen it with the screw that holds the camera to the bracket but hopefully you don't hit a bump on the road. The instructions say to tighen the set screw with the provided allen wrench; no allen wrench, or set screw were provided. Even if there was an allen wrench I don't see where a set screw is even supposed to go. Might be that the instructions haven't been updated?2. The cable to connect the camera to the headunit is RCA, but the other end is some propriety 4 prong cable. That means if this camera breaks and you want to replace it you will probably have to run another cable through your car.Overall very disappointed and I would not recommend this camera to anyone.

I’m torn whether to give this 3 or 4 stars but ultimately I’m not happy with the video quality from this camera on my kenwood dmx905s. Installation was straightforward and easy. I like the license mounting options and these worked well for my installation. For my camera, the manual was a little misleading, the green and white wires were connected so the default settings didn’t match what the manual stated.

Great picture. Relatively easy to install (I ran the wire under my car first but didn't like the wire hanging in one spot so I figured out how to remove the rear seat and side paneling and ran it with the factory wires along the drivers side).

Had this installed professionally recently and it's been working great.The picture quality is very clear and bright.The distance lines make it very easy to judge distance.It works well at night. Yes the picture is a bit grainy (depending on how much light is avail), but at least you can see quite clearly what's behind you.The extra wide angle, and the fact it can be mounted behind the license place are both a big plus.I did notice that water (water droplets) can develop or run down over the lens making the view very foggy during the rain.This camera can be used during normal driving as well, not just for backing up.I like it so far and would recommend it.

Picture is clear and not distorted. I did have to ask about a red wire that was on the camera RCA connector end that was not shown in the install manual.

A little work to install, but works great
