Nova9032 Magnetic Based Lamp

First one received was DOA so I returned it for another. Thank you Amazon for the advance replacement.... really appreciate your quick response. The magnet is an electro-magnet and it takes a little getting use to. The unit is top heavy when the magnet is not on, so it is prone to fall so you have to be careful. When not in use, I have straightened out the neck and stood it up in a spot in my shop where I have applied a clamp to keep it upright. The quality of light is good and I'll find uses for this on my lathe, bandsaw and scroll saw.

My husband liked the first one so well, we ordered a second one. The adapter on the second one didn't work. We received a full refund, quickly. Nice company to do business with. We will again order one and hope it's fully functional like the first one.

The Nova 9032 unit I received does not look like the item I ordered. The item I got has a different lens head and different mounting to the magnetic block. The lamp has only one led, but the picture seems to show several leds. The box contained no paperwork for replacing the bulb.That said, it does work on my mill but could be brighter.

The magnet worked great the light attaches to a round pipe perfect. I use it on a Nova drill press and found I need a brighter flood light instead of this narrow focused beam.3 watts just is not enough.

This is perfect for what it is made for, a light to put a focused amount of light on an area of a shop tool. It is rare that I find nothing to complain about but this is one of those occasions.

I have one of these lamps on my Teknatool drill press. It has a strong magnet. The gooseneck is long enough to position the lamp perfectly. Lamp is small and does not get in the way. Sufficient light for a drill press. I ordered a second one for my Littlemachineshop mill. Perfect for the application.

I initially bought this unit hoping to use it on my lathe. The concept is great, but because the on/off dimmer switch does not work (to dim or turn on and off) it is quite a hassle to have to unplug and plug it in every time I want to use it. There was no accompanying paperwork with the shipment, so I guess I lose out on that end also.
