Great product
This is my third tub of this stuff. I still have half the second tub and my pregnant daughter got the first tube to rub on parts of her anatomy which I will not mention in a family feview but it involves nursing. My foot doctor recommended an emoliant for foot care since I have diabetes. I once read that there are only two emoliants that are truly effective. The best is lanolin and the second is glycering which is roughly eighteen percent as effective as lanolin. I have a bottle of glycerin from Amazon also but I use that in wine and liqueur making.I first learned about lanolin in grade school back in the fifties. Sheep shearers in Australia and New Zealand are oftern rough and read, sunburned guys but they have pin, baby soft hands and arms from shearing the sheep. Lanolin is, basically, wool grease and is similar to that protective, waxy stuff a dog secrets when it geoes out and gets soaked in the rain. Lanolin does not smell doggy but it does smell when un purified. This tub of product does not have an obectionalbe odor at least to me or my wife, a lady who smells a lot better than I do in two senses of the word. The only proviso I might give is that I have also read somewhere that some people are a bit sensitive to pure lanolin so I would rub some on my forearm to test it beforte extensive use. If it did make you red or something you might want to buy a auqrt of glycering from Amazon and mix up your own lotion in a double poiler. What I do is smear my feet and put on a pair of diabetic socks which I keep for this purpose. Then I sleep with the socks on or even wear them during the day. With a bit of sanding down and treatment, my calluses, even the large one I had, have basically disappeared.I will continue to use this product if I ever get through the new tub I just bought. I dispense it by rubbing my fingers over the surface but you can gouge it I suppose.

Great for a non-itchy scalp!**
I bought a different/much more costly brand and have discovered there’s no difference between this product and that one. DAX sells its own lanolin also. I haven’t tried that one cause I like this one!I suffered from dry scalp (mixed-race woman with 4 types of mixed-race hair) and it drove me nuts to buy KERACARE* dry scalp treatment/dandruff shampoo and conditioner when I didn’t have dandruff just a dry scalp! Then I remembered my scalp never felt dry/itchy when I was younger and our Beautiful Mother used to use Lander’s lanolin-enriched Pomade on our hair. She NEVER greased our scalps but smoothed it throughout our hair and braided it. We had almost waist length hair; thick and soft like lambs’ and it wouldn’t snap off like those unbreakable ACE combs would trying to get through it!So, I said let’s try moisturizing my scalp after my wash day routine with a little pure lanolin (which is a natural humectant so do not use this if you do not want your hair to revert) and NO MORE DRY, ITCHY SCALP. Yes!!!!!Obviously this is not for women with non-kinky/ straight hair because your hair will look and feel greasy. I know you guys are tired of relaxing your hair like we do and straight-combing/blow drying your hair just to have the humidity frizz it up again but this is NOT for your type hair. However, for Sista’s scalp care, this is super. A tiny little bit massaged on your fingertips and then massaged onto your scalp will keep your scalp feeling comforted and healthier. Good-bye dry, itchy scalp.*Love Keracare hair products by the way! Their Moisturizing/Detangling shampoo is THE BEST and really leaves my hair soft and moisturized but the corresponding “Conditioner” dries it right out - - even their Hair Mask removes the moisturize???Go figure🥴!!! Dry/unmoisturized hair easily breaks off!Lanolin is great after a pedicure also. Spread a lil over the entire foot and sleep with some cotton socks on. Your feet will thank you. Hey! Do not forget a little on your elbows and knees too! Also smooth a tiny bit on the tops of your hands in winter to keep them from cracking/drying out/wrinkling early!!!** Note: Do visit a dermatologist if the itchiness continues/worsens because you could have a fungal/bacterial or ALLERGIC TO LANOLIN thing going on!

Anhydrous, Butter and Wonderful
For those arguing over it, anhydrous simply means an- (without) hydrous (water). Lanolin can "absorb" many times its weight in water. This is lanolin without the water. Like milk or cream, without the water, it has the texture of a thick butter. Very thick. Very sticky. But incredible for moisturizing rough spots. I use it for everything from a hair gel to protection for a cut or to soften a scar. It is like thick vaseline, but it is not petroleum based. It does come from sheep, so there is some odor, but this brand has much less odor than most. A great price. I love it.

Excellent lanolin ---- perfect for making your own LIP BALM
This is excellent quality lanolin at a very good price. I especially love it for making lip balm. The super simple version is just scoop some into a small pot or jar with a screw on top, and voila, you have instant clear lip balm that really, really works to soften and protect your lips (better than any commercial lip balm you can purchase at any price.... and I have probably tried well over a hundred on my super sensitive lips over the years). If you want colored lip balm (I often do), you can add some powdered cosmetic pigment to the lanolin and stir until well blended and the color you want. Add a little pigment, have a slightly tinted lip balm, add more color and you can have a highly pigmented lip balm. I buy my pigments from TKB Trading. I strongly suggest you buy actual pigments (not just micas). My favorite is Murasaki Violet, with which I make a gorgeous deep berry-purple lip balm.If you don't like your lip balm in a pot, you can melt some beeswax (appx 35% of total), add your lanolin, melt them together, then pour into empty lip balm tubes. If you want it to be like Burt's Bees, just add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to the hot mixture before pouring into the tubes. As far as the alleged "smell" of this lanolin as pointed out by some reviewers... there is a slightly 'wet sheep' smell if you open the gigantic 1 lb container and stick your nose down near it. However, I transfer my lanolin to smaller containers. The 2oz container I keep on my nightstand for night time lip use the smell is barely noticeable, and in a lip balm size container, it is not noticeable at all. I use this stuff numerous time a day on my lips, which I would certainly not do if it stank. This one pound container should last even an obsessive lip balm user at least a decade.

Love it!!! Have reordered several times. Best I’ve found
It ships and arrives fast. It mixes well with other butters, oils, and waxes and forms a barrier against dry conditions as well as holding in moister. Pleasant scent. A little goes a long way. My favorite thing about this product is it is helping reduce my skins damage from years of abuse; chlorine, chemicals, and horrible over priced retail skin products with false promises of results. This lanolin has been consistent and true to it’s description. I’ll happily recommend and will buy it again. I don’t know about the customer service because I haven’t had an issue. Thanks to the sellers.
