Wasn’t happy with them. Synthetic sound and mediocre resolution compared to direct competitors.

I'm not an audiophile but those are very comfy and the sound is great!

Vor zwei Jahren habe ich diesen Kopfhörer gekauft und war mit dem Sound hochzufrieden. Leider fiel nach kurzer Zeit der Ton auf einer Seite aus und das Gerät wurde zum AKG/Harman Service Center eingeschickt und repariert. Nun gut - kann passieren.Einige Zeit später trat der gleiche Defekt wieder auf und der Kopfhörer wurde erneut eingeschickt und repariert.Kurz vor dem Ende der Garantie war der Fehler dann wieder da und der Kopfhörer musste wieder ins Service Center. Dieses Mal kam er unrepariert zurück und nach einigem Hin-und-her mit dem Harman-Support sind nun auch die zwei Jahre Rückgabefrist bei Amazon abgelaufen. Fazit: Rücksendung an Amazon nicht mehr möglich, AKG verweigert die Reparatur oder den Austausch und verweist auf Amazon.Fazit: die Garantie von AKG / Harman ist nichts wert. Kundenservice bei einem Premiumprodukt stellt man sich anders vor.

I have owned these for a few years and treated them very gently. Recently I noticed the elastics that hold the ear cups in place had perished and become useless. This means the headband is effectively useless as it needs these to hold them to your ears.I contacted AKG who were unhelpful and pointed me to a service centre. They refused to send the parts out and instead wanted postage paid both ways and a fee for repair including parts. This is a flawed design and when offered to repair myself I was refused. These headphones are useless now so £100+ Down The toilet. I was lead to believe that AKG prided themselves on good products and great customer service. Unfortunately neither are true.Please avoid and go for something that is not guaranteed to fail on you.I will finish on a high though (we’ll sort of). They do sound very good, have a huge soundstage (wide sound) and very neutral. They respond pretty well to EQ but not as much with bass. It’s easy to overdrive them there. They are extremely comfortable until the elastics fail (which they will).

Cominciamo con dire che sono favolose, realistiche e spaziose! Non sono un audiofilo, ma ho una grande stima per loro. Possiedo un FiiO X5 III che le pilota egregiamente con Gain High che li da circa 250 mWatt. Queste cuffie da specifica ne hanno bisogno di un massimo di 200 mWatt per suonare egregiamente. Seppur con un ampli, che mi comprerò in futuro, dovrebbe migliorare nettamente il suono. Certo che se lo collegate ad un telefono e avete degli mp3 (maledetti MP3...) si sentirà tutto impastato. Provare per credere! Possiedo 100ia di CD e molti titoli acquistati in Hi-Res da Qobuz, HDTracks ecc e posdo affermare, dopo circa 25 ore di burn-in, che il soundstage è una meraviglia. Hanno solo bisogno di una spinta e di un buon audio ed è fatta. Scordate gli smartphone, se avete un DAP che sia capace di pilotarle, per esemio Astell & Kern o Onkyo o FiiO perché no. Tra l'altro possiedo il FiiO ed è favolosa la sonorità che il dac interno AKM AK4490 restituisce! Caldo ed avvolgente, sembra quasi valvolare, da dei bassi a queste cuffie... Infatti il l'X5 III ha di per sé una sonorità calda, che spinge sui bassi, senza alterare gli alti e i medi, che amo!Ma vi dico di più: sono molto lineari, nel senso che: hanno uno spettro che non infrange la regola dell'enfatizzare frequenze o restituire quelle che non ci sono. Non ha sibillii, per quello che mi pare di sentire. Sono molto neutre, non è un difetto, anzi! È un pregio da non sottovalutare.Ho sentito molte tracce in DSD come Lyn Stanley o Le Quattro Stagioni di Vivaldi, e... Vi posso racontare adesso che esperienza ho avuto e sto avendi a riascoltarle: riesci a percepire da dove il suono provviene, questo perché hanno dei driver molto grandi e dinamici. Hanno una tecnologia di per sé paurosa per quello che ho pagato (115 euro). Sono calate in un anno e le ho riprese per quel motivo, e non sto avendo rimpianti. Che se ne fotte dei materiali, importa il suono!Comincio con l'evidenziare le caratteristiche principali:- Driver Dinamico (ciò vuol dire che gli stessi speaker hanno una parte mobile, che corrisponde ad una miglioria generale del suono).- 56 Ohm, ciò vuol dire che per tirare il massimo da queste bestie vi servirà per forza un DAC & AMPLI Dedicato con minimo 150 mWatt di potenza su 60 Ohm per pilotarle egregiamente (il mio FiiO X5III in High restituisce circa 480 mWatt su 16 Ohm e circa 225 mWatt su 56 Ohm sull'uscita sbilanciata con il Jack da 3.5mm, quindi è capace di dare tutto il potenziale di cui queste AKG hanno bisogno!) Ovviamente se avete uno smartphone, scordatevi i 200mWatt, io ho un LG G4 ed esso riesce malapena a dare >150 mWatt circa su 32 Ohm, figuriamoci a pilotare questo tipo di cuffie. Restituisce malapena >90 mWatt di potenza, dai su! Poi se li si abbinano a degli MP3...Oramai la musica dovrebbe essere solo FLAC perché non si può sentire di gente che: "Basta che si sente"! La musica è arte ragazzi miei! E va sentita bene. Invece di spendere 200 Euro per delle Beats queste sono molto più realistiche e avvolgenti di tutti i bassi che le Beats restituiscono! Sentitele con un buon Ampli e mi direte...- Range Sonoro: 10 Hz - 39,800 kHz. Riescono a darti tutto lo spettro sonoro in modo lineare e preciso, il sound-stage è molto ampio, se non ampissimo rispetto alle molte cuffie/auricolari da me provate. Nella musica classica si riesce a percepire la direzione di ogni strumento, sospiro ecc. Parlo di emozioni che ho provano per la prima volta quando le ho messe in testa... Ho messo Vivaldi - Le quattro stagioni in DSD64 (DSF) ed è partita l'orchestra! Nelle tracce si sentiva il solista respirare, i violini toccare le corde, il clavicembalo si distingueva da tutti gli strumenti, le viole con tutto il loro splendore... ed il solista poi... si sentiva che è come se fosse davanti a te e tu immerso nell'orchestra!Ora vi parlo di Scars di James Bay (un estratto in FLAC 24 bit 88 kHz dall'album "Chaos and the Chalm"): La voce di James davanti a te, realistica e mai invadente; La chitarra, quella elettrica, l'organo di una naturalezza unica! La batteria un'altro realismo puro, lo stacco con i piatti e le percussioni... Ad un certo punto tutto si mischia, ma si riesce a percepire ogni strumento, la voce tra l'altro, spettacolare! Un motivo per cui ho bandito gli MP3 e gli M4A dalla mia vita, compressi, schifezza che non restituisce niente solo compressione e niente realismo se sentite con certe cuffie (non parlo di IEM ma di cuffie serie come queste). Queste restituiscono ogni difetto della registrazione e della sorgente in ascolto, quindi se prendete in considerazione di acquistare queste cuffie: o perché siete degli ingegneri del suono in cerca di qualcosa di economico ma serio! O perché siete esigenti in musica come me e sapete come pilotarle, perché questa questione è importante!- - - - - - - - - - - - - /!\ A T T E N Z I O N E /!\ - - - - - - - - - - - - -Se avete delle Beats statene alla larga! Non sono per voi! Le odierete! In quanto sono neutre e di certo non enfatizzanti e cariche di bassi, puntate su altre marche. Ed ovviamente non adatte a degli MP3. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ABOUT ME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Sono un appassionato di musica da sempre, e possiedo vari tipi di cuffie ed auricolari tra cui: FiiO F9 Pro, 1MORE E1001 Triple Driver, queste AKG K702 con il cavo in sostituzione a quello originale, Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro, FiiO X5 III e FiiO A5. Possiedo oltre 1000 GB di musica acquistata da Qobuz, HDTracks, HiResAudio, NativeDSD, Tidal MQA tutta in Qualità CD 16 bit, HiRes fino a 352.8 kHz e DSD64/128/256 e DXD. (e anche qualcosina da torrent, non lo nego: siamo tutti un po pirati su!). Possiedo oltre 100+ CD e 20 Vinili tutti originali. Amante da sempre dei Pink Floyd (possiedo The Endless River & The Division Bell [REMASTER] in LP), Iron Maiden (tra cui alcuni LP), AC/DC e classica in generale. Ascolto principalmente il Classica, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Metal, Folk, Soul, Pop, ecc.

I already own a pair of these AKG K702 and they are the best open back headphones I have ever owned. As a lifetime audio professional they get allot of use.So I ordered another pair because they seemed cheap at this time.The headphones that I received from Amazon (not to be blamed here) were a mere shadow of the pair I bought 10 years ago. 200 grams lighter with a terrible cheap feel. I did plug them in and the sound seemed ok, also realising that these need 100 hours of use to break them in. But the build quality is just breathtakingly bad by comparison to my older pair in fact in comparison to anything.Realise also that the reputation these headphones have is built upon the Austrian build product and not these comically cheap knock-offs. Profitability before Audio Fidelity. Shame on you AKG. . . .

Diese AKGs toppen wohl so ziemlich alles, was nicht gerade an die Grenze der 1000 € kommt. Im Internet ist das vielfach nachzulesen, sodass ich die Rezension kurz halte. Die Neutralität und Klarheit dieser Kopfhörer ist außergewöhnlich. Man hört hier keine Musik, man erlebt sie!Ich habe mehrere getestet, darunter auch die gerühmten Beyerdynamic 880 Edition mit 32 Ohm, die einen ähnlich guten Klang haben, doch die AKGs tragen sich besser und haben leicht die Nase vorn. Im Vergleichstest der Professional Audio kam dieser Kopfhörer schon vor vielen Jahren auf Platz 2 hinter dem Sennheiser HD 800, der eigentlich nicht zählt, da er weit über 1000 € kostet.Auch zum Gamen ist der 702 hervorragend geeignet. Durch die extrem weite und luftige Bühne ist absolut alles herauszuhören, sofern es das Spiel überhaupt hergibt. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist ok, eher billig durch viel Harplastik, aber durch den Preis ok. Letztendlich zählt der Klang. Sie kosteten früher 400, als sie noch aus Österreich kamen. Nun kaufte ich sie für unschlagbare 185. Der durchschnittliche Hörer mit seinen In-Ears, am besten noch von Beats mit extra Bass, kann sich diesen Klang des 702 gar nicht vorstellen.Ich rate auch zu ihm und nicht zum 712, der als Nachfolger beworben wird, aber wohl eigentlich keiner ist. Der 712 soll mehr Bass haben, also schon zu viel, und das vor allem durch andere Polster. Der 702 hatte wohl früher recht präsente Höhen und eher wenig Bass, aber es scheint ein stilles Update gegeben zu haben, sodass sie nun ideal sind. Dies alles wird zumindest in vielen Foren gemunkelt und von Nutzern, die einen Vergleich hatten, bestätigt.Über die K702 geht auf jeden Fall nur wenig, und wenn, dann zu einem unverhätlnismäßig hohen Preis! Sie sind absolut zu empfehlen für Genießer von Musik, und der Preis ist beinahe lächerlich gering für die Leistung, die man ohnehin kaum zur Gänze ausschöpfen kann im "normalen" Gebrauch.
