Middle AtlanticUTR1 - Rack Shelf - Black Powder Coat - 1U - 19"

It was a bit pricy (that's on me) and should've come with mounting screws but works like it should and came when expected.

For some reason what I had in mind was a tiny shelf that could barely hold up my modem and router. To my surprise, I found this to be quite a sturdy shelf, and feel like I could load it up with quite a few things as it has plenty of room for attaching devices to its vented shelf. I'm sure that I'll be getting my money's worth from this shelf.

Solidly built tray. Works perfectly for holding my two Warm Audio preamps. The beautiful black finish looks powder coated, not just painted. The metal is thick and sturdy; as such it's quite heavy... This is a good thing. With my pre amps mounted up, it looks professional and solid like the whole assembly came from the factory this way. Great buy.

You get what you pay for with this rack shelf. It's sturdy and well ventilated. It even comes with 2 long Velcro stripes to attach 2 half rack devices, which I used. I even purchased extra velcro, just in case, which I never used.Overall, you get a durable shelf at a reasonable price.

The holes/slots are nothing like the pictures. The shelf the was delivered for me was very perforated - lots of air movement possible. If you wanted a more solid shelf then this is not the one for you.

I love the UTR1; it's the perfect size for small non-rack-mount devices, such as modems, routers, power packs, etc. They're the perfect depth to fit behind my Cisco 6500 switches in my enclosures, making the rear rack space actually useful. They come with two strips of double-sided velcro tape which you can use on your devices to secure them better to the shelf so they don't slide around. The design of the vented bottom also lets you easily tie down cables and such.
