Air flow doesn't get as hot as the full size dryers
I purchased this dryer to replace a full size T3 I'd owned for 10 years. I knew my old dryer would die soon and wanted to have a hair dryer on hand when the time comes because it always happens while using it and my hair is only half finished. Sure enough, that happened 7 months later and I pulled out this new, folding dryer and was immediately disappointed with how it wouldn't get as hot as the old dryer. I use a round brush with a metal barrel (Moroccanoil brand) and the air out of the dryer wasn't hot enough to heat the barrel of the brush to smooth my hair. After using the dryer 3 times, and each time I've been unhappy with the way my hair feels and looks. I'm able to get a sleek, salon blow-out with my old dryer and this one simply can't achieve the same because the air is not hot enough. I gave up and purchased the T3 Cura dryer and it works as well as my old dryer. I recommend during your research and read reviews before switching from the full size T3 to the more compact folding model. Research prices web-wide before purchasing and avoid private sellers on Amazon. Only purchase if the item is sold by Amazon and not a private seller to avoid poor customer service from individuals.

Poor customer service and buyer beware!
I bought this dryer new in June 2019. After 3 months use for only me the power would greatly diminish after it was on approximately one minute then get very hot. I contacted the company since it was under their so called 24 month warranty . Was told to send in a picture with the cord cut off, write personal info on a white piece of paper and show serial number on sticker under dryer . They would then consider sending you a “ cleaned refurbished dryer “. There was no sticker anywhere on this dryer so I put the original box plainly showing the number in the picture. This wasn’t good enough for them and I am now out $136! Most cheap dryers have the number etched on the unit! This was my third T3 dryer but certainly my last. POOR customer service so buyers beware!!!

but even my struggling T3 dries better than this blow dryer
I was replacing a T3 that is struggling to keep up, but even my struggling T3 dries better than this blow dryer. I just threw away $150. My hair gets sucked into the filter ALL THE TIME...and it's not even close. The filter pulls it in. Roots are left limp. Frizz is not minimized. However, my older version gives me none of these problems. I am perplexed by any positive reviews.

About average
My expectation on T3 was high as it was promoted to dry the hair quickly without damage. After using for a while, its performance was not noticeably different from a $20 hair dryer.

My New Favorite
Having just gotten a brand new shoulder, with the other one giving me arthritic fits, I've gone though a number of dryers in the last few years. The weight had been my biggest concern. So I only bought super-light dryers. And much cheaper ones. Most of them would dry my hair OK, but not much more. This dryer weighs a few ounces more, but the air flow is SO much easier to use. My hair looks less frizzy/dry. And it dries - on the low setting - much more quickly than all the others. I have no idea why - I'm sure there's science behind it. But I don't care - I LOVE my new dryer!
