52 Assignments: Landscape Photography
R**?
Not a beginners book
The first real thing that annoyed me with the hardcover version of this book is the annoying blue card all the way around the book. It just gets in the way. They have used a very small font which enables them to cram everything for an assignment on one page which meant even with my glasses I struggled to read it. I understand this is for portability but works against it.The book is well laid out to give plenty of details on how to achieve each assignment. The biggest problem is that this book is not for a beginner or anyone that has not got deep pockets. Getting to assignment 30 alone means buying a vast array of lenses including prime ones. So as a beginner within weeks, you would be buying new lenses, and over the 52 weeks, you would have considerable gear to buy. The first two assignments are a wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lens!So if you are a beginner do not follow the assignments in number and only those that you have the equipment for.It would be a good idea to release this on a kindle that way it would fix the font issue.

Every Landscape Photographer should have one
What a great handbook for budding landscape photographers. The assignments give you the opportunity to try something new - look at the landscape as a photographer rather than just admiring a beautiful view - hone your skills, identify where you are going wrong and so much more. Every piece of advice is written in layman's English rather than using technical terminology so is easy to follow. I highly recommend this book.
