The block arrived quickly. I had thought I was getting a polished surface block, but that's because I either didn't read the description thoroughly, or I got a couple products mixed up. My mistake. I'm sure this block will work just fine for checking color mixes with CA glue and for breaking materials into smaller pieces.

This bench block is perfectly flat, 3/4" thick and works well for peening small metal parts. I have used it several times and it appears that it will do exactly what I purchased it for.

Arrive with surface scratches and one significant dent on one side. Other side was pristine. Based on these scratches I’m not sure the hardness rating is accurate. Time will tell how well it holds up based on my use. This is intended for metal stamping.

The Block is a very nice chunk of hardened steel. It is used as a base for a Morse Code key that uses magnets to hold it in an operating position. The key was designed to be used on a metal top table but to use it on a wooden top table it needed some easily attachable ballast.

I love tool steel, and this is a nice, heavy piece of it. The surfaces are flat and the edges are slightly chamfered. Perfect surface for banging on small stuff.

I like that the edges are chamfered and not just a sharp corner. The working surfaces have been milled down somewhat smooth but they still leave faint marks on soft metals like copper. I use this block to shape and a chrome mirror finished one to knock those faint marks off. This works great and keeps the chrome finish from getting chipped up so fast.

This is a really sturdy heavy piece of steel , perfect for my small jewelry jobs .

Größe stimmt, massiv, für meine Zwecke ausreichend. Allerdings sind die Flächen nicht glatt poliert, sondern zeigen die feine Schraffierung der benutzen Schleifmaschine, an den Seiten rund, auf der Oberfläche gerade. Für's Juwelierhandwerk sicher nicht geeignet, bei mir ist es egal. Für die mangelhafte Politur gibt es 2 Sterne Abzug, die Kanten sind sauber und exakt abgeschrägt.
