I was going to return this after plugging this into my DSLR (Sony a6300 with custom headphone monitor adapter) and heard the absurd amount of noise, horrible compared to my cheap Takstar SGC-598. Of course, as someone who wants to make films, I know I'm not supposed to use it directly on the camera. Plugged it into a Zoom H4n Pro (via XLR to XLR) and noise floor is down to pure silence. I've got my hands on some Sennheiser shotgun mics before and it is close to that level. Definitely good enough to make movies, especially with its supercardioid pattern for dialogues.This was never meant to be used directly on cameras just like other professional boom mics. But if you know the simple trick of 'noise removal' from free softwares out there you can actually achieve decent, clean audio straight from a DSLR.I don't often feel the need to review items but I don't want people thinking this is not at all worth your money. Learn about your gear and make good stuff.

I bought this item thinking it will save me some hassle with audio recording on location, after everything this is not a good buy at all lots of wind coming in and the sound is not good at all, even if you have both with shields that it came with still no good sound, it’s loud and it takes audio from far away which you do not need, it will not work for location shoot even indoors it’s not worth it, I will not recommend at all

This is an okay entry level mic. But despite being advertised as low noise circuitry, it is NOT. There is quite a lot of electrical noise. This is easy to remove in post, but the item should not be advertised as low noise.

It's not going to be up there with the shotgun mic's costing hundreds of dollars. It lets in a fair amount of noise from the side, so the "shotgun" part is not entirely accurate. But for the price that you pay, none of it is SOOOO terribly bad that you can't just fix it in post and have good sound remaining.

Producto con muy buena relación calidad precio. Es un buen micro direccional con un precio muy asequible. La construcción es en metal, aunque algunos tornillos q lleva se aflojan fácilmente.
