Very surprised with these pencils - soft and vibrant
I was pleasantly surprised with these pencils. They were smooth, not as buttery as Prismacolor colored pencils, but hey there is a reason for the price of those pencils. These I would say are student grade colored pencils, and by student I mean art student, not elementary kid. They are GOOD pencils, they lay color down smoothly and can be blended and they appear vibrant, but look like they lack the pigment that more expensive artist grade colored pencils have. There is a good variety of colors without too much of a similarity between them. My package arrived perfectly without a pencil out of place or even a tip broken. They include a swatch card and you should color that in so you can see what the colors look like on paper because the pencil paint is not going to exactly match. It's great that each pencil is named and has a number so you can look at your swatch card to choose you color and then just grab the matching pencil. I also love the price, an excellent value for what you get!

Soft Core vibrant colors
These colored pencils are at a great price for what you get; 180 pencils for $29! And they are soft core, making it easy to apply the color without putting a dent in your finger! Or a cramp in your hand. The colors are vibrant & smooth & work well together shading & blending.

New favorite colored pencils!
I think I prefer these pencils over Prisma colors! they are way cheaper and honestly I like the quality more. I also really like the packaging, I got a full list of colors on the back and a really well done swatch book (great paper quality lol). I had only 1 pencil that was just slightly broken which made sharpening a little difficult (the smallest pencil in the 3rd pic), but honestly for a pack this big I expect at least some of them to have that issue (could also be a me issue lol). These pencils are very soft so don't go throwing them around and dropping them (will break the lead inside. the same is with pretty much all soft colored pencils). I probably wouldn't give them to young children just because of how soft they are, but I don't think that's the intended audience anyway. All in all 10/10

Gorgeous, soft pencils!
I love these pencils! There is a wide variety of color gradations, and excellent quality at a good price. Some have complained about the tips breaking, but I have not had any problem, even though I've already sharpened a few with my electric sharpener. It's nice that there is a color chart, but I found that did not work for me at all - it made no sense to arrange the chart by number instead of by color layers. So, being as neurotic as I am, I created a new color chart from an Excel spreadsheet, listed the colors by layer so I can see the subtle differences, and it works perfectly for me. Highly recommend this set!

I must have received the DIY Color Chart for another set
I got the Premium 180 set in the black elephant tin. All pencils arrived unbroken (except a couple of the tips were broken). The colors are rich and vibrant, layering easily. I have no complaints about the quality of the colors or how they perform, though so far I've only used them on the DIY Color Chart that came with it.The very first thing I noticed is that none of the numbers and names of the colors printed on my pencils match the included color testing card. There is not a single match of the 180 pencils. The colors I received do not match what is printed on the inside of the tin lid either. This makes both the color chart and the tin lid color legend completely useless. It also makes me wonder what colors I was supposed to have received (my chart lists fluorescents and metallics I did not receive, as well as some colors listed with classic artist color names such as Phthalo Green, Cadmium Red, Violet Lake). There are 40 shades on the DIY color chart /printed inside the tin lid which I did not receive. Conversely, I received 40 colors which are not listed on the DIY Color Chart/tin lid. Pics included for reference. It feels like more of a grab bag of colors rather than an intentional set, but the price is right and the colors are beautiful. The colors I received had a typo on the color chart where the word "Brick" is misspelled "Brich", and a pencil has the misspelled name "Crape" which is a very minor annoyance and I did not subtract a star for it.Just caveat emptor and know that you may receive a hastily prepared product.

Great Pencils, Great Price
Love these! Very smooth feel. I really love the two color charts.

Excellent quality soft pencils
Quality of pencils if superb. Marketing and packaging could be better. The trays are somewhat flimsy and tight fitting in the metal box. Would be nicer if they were sturdier and less tight. Also I would like to upgrade to the 520 piece set and in doing so I can’t buy a supplimental box which has only the pencils I lack. Of course no one does this so it’s just a thought.

nice
durable, strong core. smooth colour payout. very, very fun. these blend pretty well, too. sharpens well - I just use an e.l.f. sharpener. I'm just a beginner, but these work really well for me. I also use the Kalour blender pencils and find them high quality.
