Dysgraphia is when the child struggles with writing. These pencils are triangular which makes for less cramping in the hand. They are also thicker than most #2 pencils, which makes it better for finger placement. In fact I as a mom really enjoy writing with these pencils also. We only have this style pencil in our house. I know I am a pencil snob. But they really help, and they are great for school. I even think they sharpen better than other brands. Other brands seem not to sharpen to a point all the way or the lead breaks easy... Some of the cheaper brands have an eraser that leaves that pink smug on the paper or rips the paper. These have a great eraser and seem to last long because you don't have to use as much to get the job done. I feel these pencils are worth the price.

I am a Special Education math teacher and absolutely love these pencils! I have used them for years. My students love them too. They are so comfortable to use and have great erasers.

Someone asked me when I was telling them to buy this pencil what was so special about a pencil. Well - This pencil rocks. It rocks so much, that not only am I buying multiple packs for myself but also to give out as gifts to several new college students as upcoming Christmas gifts! The barrel is not too large that it feels bulky but is larger than most standard pencils. The grip is so comfy with a matte rubbery finish. It feels so strong and sturdy. I go through one pencil every couple of days and in the 1st week of school I purchased a number of different pencils including the regular black Ticonderoga which I loved as well but have been knocked to 2nd place since finding theses. I have used Dr.P pencils which are great however, once I got this bad boy in my hands I was hooked! Although automatic pencils are more economical in the long run this pencil is completely worth the investment. My hands do not cramp up using this pencil, nor do I get the calused fingers from regular pens/pencils. Also it's kinda cool for me because I work while on the couch and when I put the pencil on the pad it doesn't roll around because of it's triangular shape which seems like it would be akward to write with but is not even noticable. I also have many sharpeners under my belt and the $2.59 from Staples is excellent for this and all other penci sharpening needs.

Best pencil I ever used.

It is too bad that we write mostly in computers nowadays. So, why not give yourself some luxury for the moments you write something in the paper. These pencils are not cheap, but they sit nicely in your hand and the graphite has the perfect hardness. It hardly breaks and takes longer to become dull. THE ACCOMPANYING SHARPENER DOESN'T WORK WELL. You get much better points by using mechanical or electrical sharpeners, but they must accept wider pencils.

What can you say about a pencil. These are better than most, maybe the best of all, but they are just pencils, right?

Love the size of the pencil, the 3 sides (helps grip it), but the sharpener that is included is basically useless. Will it sharpen the pencil? Sorta, BUT, lopsided which means you will use up the pencil much faster than a regular pencil. At which point it is not worth the money. Had to spend considerable dollars to find a pencil sharpener that would accept a larger pencil and sharpen properly.

I use pencils for all my note taking and these are by far the best and most comfortable I have ever used. Make sure you get the pack that includes the sharpener.
