After putting some time in to figure this printer out it is printing great
Save yourself the money because this is the worst printer I ever purchase I am throwing away more plastic then I ever did before out of days of printing I only had one successful print and that was my first print I was not satisfied with the quality of the print now I can't even get a base to print without messing up I am very disappointed with this printer so do your research before you dropped this much money on a giant paper. Here is an update on this printer after hours of tinkering with it I think I finally figured it out I am very satisfied with the print qualities I am getting now it was very stressful and annoying I am finally getting the prince I want it on the skill I needed them I will say it it's worth the money I just got to be more patient at times and stop and Rewind to figure out what I am doing wrong

Good printer for novice or hobbyist with upgrades
This is my first printer and I had absolutely no clue about these things, but wanted a decent printer to learn on so I didn’t have to buy another after I got the hang of it and wanted bigger. The printer was packaged very well, simple to put together. There were a few screws that were installed by manufacturer that needed adjustment. The bed isn’t that bad to level once you get the hang of it, and trust me it’s worth taking your time to adjust bed after every print, or at least check it. I have a few issues with adhesion at first, but that goes back to the bed leveling. There are a few upgrades I’m in the process of making after learning more about the printer. I’ll list them at the end. The printer is not what I’d consider noisy, but others in reviews have commented on it being loud. Not sure what they expect but it has several fans and motors that are moving. I do have one fan that’s annoying on the hotend that occasionally makes a whining noise, but I just lightly touch it and it seems to center itself and stops making the noise. As I said in the beginning I’m still new and learning, but I have been very impressed with the quality of the prints once I got the adjustments down. My 12 year old daughter is learning how to print her own stuff and she seems to be picking it up very fast, I just check the bed and make sure it’s level for her before she prints. Overall I’m very pleased with this printer and can’t wait to get the upgrades I just purchased installed. As for the upgrades I’m making and recommend are as follows.Upgraded bed leveling springs, and knobsCR touch to help adjust the Z axis as you printAnd add a second Z axis motor and lead screw for smother Z axis movement. All in all still a great beginner or novice printer, but for as much as the upgrades cost you can buy a printer with dual Z axis steppers.

Another great printer from Creality
If you've been around 3D printers for a while, you know the Creality name and this printer delivers, again. The Ender 3 MAX is not much different than the Ender 3 Pro except for the bigger print bed. In my case, it allows me to print larger batches of prints so I don't have to be around to remove prints and restart the printer and I can just go about my day. This printer does have the upgraded TMC2208 steppers, a filament runout sensor, larger leveling knobs and the newer hotend assembly that Creality has been using lately. The dual print cooling fan setup is also a nice to have, but running them both at full speed does get noticeable, not that you'll usually need to.The interface on this printer is the same as the familiar Ender 3 with the rotary knob. I'm assuming a V2 with a touch screen will show up sometime this year, but who knows. As far as bed leveling - this is where it gets fun! I haven't installed it yet, but the printer does officially support a BLTouch. There are screw holes for the sensor and Creality does have an official firmware which supports auto leveling by way of a BLTouch. I imagine the process to be easy from the instructions I've seen so I'm definitely excited to see that all go together.Print quality is as good as I've seen from any of my printers, even with a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height, you still get smooth prints and accurate reproductions. All in all, this is a great buy for anyone who needs a printer with a larger bed and bigger print volume. I'm just about ready to buy another one of these already!

Day 1 review (noob) *week 2 update* *1 month review*
The media could not be loaded. Bought a Fulament magnetic bed that allowed my to place some clear packaging tape in the middle of the bed. This allowed me to get my full print surface and now I just need to run some test before Im confident in the bed.(Update) This printer has ran great and just like my other tools that cost way more than this, it needed some set up and tuning before providing desired results. The glass bed has a bad warp that has reduced my print space to about a 6" x 6" space compared to the advertised 11" x 11".***Assembly went fast. No missing parts. My 3 Max wouldnt go home. A few hours in and I found if i put them on the limiting switches it would work. Then I tried a print and my head drove straight off the edge and my filament was being pulled in and out of the nozzle. My filament motor (X) and my printer head motor (E) were switched on the main board.I switched the wires. Everything funcions and Im running my first test print without changing any setting to see how it goes.

Everything I hoped it would be.
I saved $100 on Amazon days and I am so happy. Super easy to setup and I was printing in just over an hour. There is an excellent YouTube video by Just Vlad (search Creality Ender 3 max unboxing & setup). As of August 2022 it should be the first video. This is also a great video so you can spend 45 minutes and decide if this is right for you. He takes you through the whole printer and explains some parts and why they are good, complete detailed setup, calibration, shows you how to download CURA (software) and finally print. I watched the video and paused so I could follow along. My printer needed a lot of adjusting as some wheels were way to tight. Getting the bed level while being the right distance from the print head was the hardest part. My first print was the 20 mm calibration cube and all sides were 20.0mm. I have had some failed prints, but that was due to not reading the directions from the creators on thingyverse (free downloads of 3d models). You need to look at the description to see if the project needs Rafts or supports. You add them in CURA before you slice it and save to the microSD card. I also had some issues with prints popping off at 80% complete. I have increased the bed temperature to 65 degrees Celsius and that helped immensely (standard is 60 degrees). The large bed surface seems to have issues being hot enough in my cold basement. I also re-adjusted the bed so it was closer to the print head (piece of paper moves but has some resistance). Now that I have figured out some of those simple problems I haven't had an issue. Great printer to get your feet wet. If you don't need the large volume and Ender 3 Pro would be a little cheaper. Highly recommend!

Decent Printer (One issue though)
Loving this printer so far. I've been using a Flashforge Finder for years and finally decided to upgrade. I've had some issues with the printer so far though, one was easy to fix and the other I think will have to be replaced:Let's start with the easy to fix issue. The filament spool sometimes lets the spool hop off and then it get jammed causing the print to fail since no plastic is getting into the extruder. This is a little annoying but after 5 or so failed prints I found a cheap carabiner from my local dollar store and that's been doing an awesome job at holding the spools on ever since. The second issue I've had with it so far is one of the filament cooling fans on the side of the extruder seems to be damaged. I'll start the print via the SD Card and manually have to turn the fans up to 100% since I'm waiting on Cura to officially add this printer (Using the Ender 3 Pro file IIRC with an increased bed size) Anyways, I turn this fans on and the fan to the left of the extruder makes a very loud grinding sound. I've found leaving it like this for a few seconds and then stopping it with my finger usually fixes the issue but it's a little annoying. I haven't reached out to the company yet but I'll update this review once I do!All in all, I'd recommend this printer. Levelling it can be a little frustrating but you have to remember that this is a hobby and it can take time.

Solid printer but has some downsides
Would have been nice to know that the V4.2.2 board has two TMC2208 on X and Y, and A4988 on Z and E for those who wish to build their own firmware. It does not say that anywhere, and I pulled the heat sinks to figure it out. In my opinion, this should be explicitly stated somewhere as not everyone will have the know how to check. Word on the streets is that there are other stepper driver configurations out there so that might not be true for you.My other huge gripe is that it is exceptionally difficult to find information out there on how to set up thing sfor the Ender 3 Max, owing to the name essentially looking at every Ender 3 model out there as "Max" isn't going to help you whittle down results. This is even in the event that you use all the tricks to modify your search query to be specific.Cura does not have a default setting set up for the Max so you have to use Pro and modify the build plate size which doesn't really work great either.Otherwise, works great. Easy to assemble. Prints are as good as you can make them based on your slicer set up.

2 weeks of hell
When I pulled it out of the box and assembled everything, the ender 3 max was looking really good, but aligning it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The z axis button to stop the arm from coming too low seemed like it was in the right position, but then realized the printing bed was warped in 2 different places. The middle of the bed was too low , and the right side of the bed as always too high. I thought I would be smart and get a BL touch to help with this issue, and it did help. For 2 full prints. After that was straight downhill. There was a Terrible noise coming from the fan, almost like something was inside of it. I opened it up and saw that nothing was blocking it. I was able to stop it by stopping the fan, and letting it go and for some reason that fixed it for a good 30 seconds. It kept doing it and I was getting frustrated at this point. For the last 2 prints, I tried to make a foldable gecko keychain for my older brother, and I thought the machine was perfectly aligned. Nope. Turns out it wasn’t and began to have filament CLOG the entire extruder, and the entire heat block was encased inside of the filament. It was able to seep underneath the silicone guard and coat it. This did not happen to me once, but twice. I did everything I was told, slide a4 paper underneath and make it slightly grabable to the extruder, but the only thing it did was clog the machine. This was by far the worst experience for a beginner I have had. I’m returning it without even talking to warranty because I feel the problem would take longer than I needed it to be. I’m packing this thing up and returning it and looking for a better printer. I was able to print 5 successful prints, and every time, I would sit there and watch it print because I knew the first 2 prints would fail. I am now very cautious about buying from this company, but they are the cheapest option. Be wary of everything about this printer because I was hoping it to be easier than this
