Don't panic when assembling, but don't think you're going to get far from a socket.
Looking at the in-box instructions, it appears there is a piece missing.There isn't, as two parts have been pre-connnected; obviously this happened after the instructions were printed.Other than causing that slightly panicky moment, assembly is easy. The lamp is sturdy and strong.The cable, however, is absurdly short. You need to be within 2ft of a socket after it is clipped down to the bottom of the lamp.

Satisfied with this lamp, But for one thing a little more flex would be helpful.
Short flex, this lamp is sturdy, I use it as a reading light and when I am playing my piano.

Great lamp for plant lovers
I had purchased a sansi 24w full spectrum light bulb,but couldn’t find an adjustable lamp that would take the e27 bulb. I had a look On a few sites and found this beauty. Not only does it take the bulb the lamp is fully adjustable and is very sturdy with a heavy base. You could even use a sansi 36w bulb with this lamp and it would handle the heat. My zebrina is going to be very happy in its own corner once I’ve taken the Christmas tree down.x

A good light
A good light, easily adjustable to get the right height next to a chair for reading with, or for more general use. Can take any standard bulb, so you can choose the light spread.Not as elegant as an LED light, but they're more difficult to find in the UK, more common in Europe.

Neat bright & sturdy
Reading, it is quite as good as my much more expensive similar lamp!

Value for money
Good value for money. Easily assembled to required height. One criticism - The top 'folding' section where it plugs into the upright tubes is a weak point. It needs an insert for reinforcement.

Damaged packaging, possibly a returned item, cable is short, otherwise a fairly good product
Packaging was double boxed, polystyrene protection largely shredded, lamp shade was buckled and dented. I suspect this was a returned item.After reshaping the shade and managing to get the dent to the point where it was barely visible, the lamp was easy to assemble. Seems fairly sturdy, looks pretty good, and the lamp arm mechanism holds the lamp head wherever it's required.Power cable only reaches about 10cm from the base if it's flush to the stem of the stand at full height so it can't be far from a socket.Overall a reasonably good product, shame mine wasn't new.
