I have tried 5 or 6 different brands of charcoal soap and this soap is the best of them all. The bar is large, so you get a lot for your money and it cleans my oily skin without being harsh and leaves a pleasant manly scent. I have used it for 6 showers and the bar has not shrunk down much at all. This soap is solid and made to last thru many showers. I will be buying more! As of April 3rd I am not sure if I will be buying more. They raised the price possibly trying to get more money because of the Pandemic! I do not patronize businesses that take advantage of National Emergencies!

Quality product. Does not leave my body dry after washing. I strongly recommend. Cleans my skin and face remarkable. I love it because it’s an all in one..face cleaner along with body cleansing good quality. I will be purchasing 3-4 more later this month. Down side is that is goes quick. Bar doesn’t last all that long. Also will leave your white tub or shower to get black and dirt film/mildew sets in fast, thus you will constantly have to clean your shower or tub out with tub / mildew cleaner.

1 Year Update: This bar is really lasting. I use it daily and it's only about 30% smaller than new. One bar might last me two years. Ordering it for family members. Another reviewer commented on a price increase but the current price is only a $1 more than I paid for it a year ago.I bought this soap and the Art of Sport Body Bar at the same time. I wanted a charcoal soap with some texture but not like Lava soap. You have to use it awhile before you get down to the gritty part but it is just lightly gritty. I don't use it on my face or my whole body, just parts that require more effort. I tried it on my face but it left a film I had to wash off with bath gel.The Art of Sport soap was more refined and designed for total cleaning but smelled like it was trying too hard to be masculine (like Axe soaps). This Marlowe soap smelled more like soap than a cheap man's cologne which is fine.Recently my husband's hands got coated with carbon that Dawn and a brush couldn't totally remove. I gave him this soap to try and it removed the remaining stain. No wonder it removes antiperspirant so well.

I’ve used the soap bar at least 3 times. The product is BLACK. Every time you shower with it everything in your bathtub (or shower) turns black. I spend 15 mins showering and another 15 trying to clean after this. It’s a giant piece of brick (and that’s not a compliment on the size) I’m 5’10, 240 pounds, have decent big hands and it’s hard to really grip it (it’s shaped like a brick (no curves whatsoever) it has NO scent at all. And from the cleanliness feel, it’s worse than sandpaper. Leave my skin dry and my hair brittle. The texture of the bar or soap is grainy. I’m done paying money to boutique or small company (local or foreign) products. There clearly is a reason why people of the world spend billions on the big name companies that do animal testing. I will ask for a refund. YES on a bar or soap.

I've loved this soap. I wanted to switch to an "all natural" moisturizing soap and spent a lot of time reading reviews across the web. I decided on the Marlow charcoal soap. I've found that 1 bar will last 2-3 months as long as you make sure to place it in a location in your shower where water is not constantly running over it. I've found it to do a great job of cleaning of grime yet be very gentle. At age 47, I've always dealt with small breakout of occasional acne on my face, which is why I've always used a "high end" face soap. After switching to using this bar soap for my face (morning and night), I have fewer acne issues and my face feels great. I've been using it exclusively for almost a year and still love it!
