Rich Source of Antioxidants; GREAT Way to Help Alkalize and it Tastes Terrific!
I initially bought this for my husband, who had his first ever flare of gout about a month ago. After doing my research, I found this was a favorite proven folk remedy for the reduction of high Uric Acid levels (the primary cause of gout).I decided to try it myself simply for its antioxidant benefits & have to say the taste is MUCH better than I expected. I have no problem taking it by the tablespoonful and actually love the taste, even though it is definitely more tart than sweet. It's especially delicious added to plain yogurt, sweetened with a few drops of Stevia. It's a potent antioxidant and works as an alkalizer (you can verify this yourself by using pH testing paper to monitor your salivary pH levels over time as you take it). I also like to add it to smoothies. Do your research; tart cherry juice appears to be beneficial to cardiac health, joint health, and may help maintain eye health. It also may help reduce inflammation. The flavor's A+; I'll keep this one on my Subscribe & Save list!P.S. Several reviewers mentioned taking a tablespoon or two in a glass of water at bedtime or an hour before & sleeping like a baby. Others mentioned that regardless the time of day they took it, they slept through the night. I can say, though I'm usually a sound sleeper anyway, this has helped me sleep deeper and dream more vividly. Just an FYI for any insomniacs out there--if you have trouble sleeping, this might help!UPDATE 8/1/14: After doing further research, I see that tart cherry contains a compound known to help reduce cortisol levels. This may partially explain how it helps improve sleep. Just an FYI for those who care!---UPDATE 11/14/14: Hubby FINALLY agreed to try this as a gout preventative, after trying some tart cherry tablets he had an allergic reaction to. HE IS IMPRESSED. He's been taking it for about a week (just 1 tablespoon a day, with breakfast) and has said it's made a TREMENDOUS difference in his energy levels and helps him sleep more deeply. He also thinks it helps him breathe better (he has COPD). Doing more research, this is a side benefit of tart cherry--it can help people with COPD (even his pulmonologist says it works). BTW, a neighbor has tried it as per hubby's recommendation and is getting relief for arthritic knees. A big WIN!UPDATE UPDATE 11/17/14: After just about a week and a half of this tart cherry juice (again, just a HALF dose of 1 tablespoon with breakfast), my husband is showing an AMAZING side effect: it is helping improve his MEMORY. Why, exactly? I'm not sure, unless it's the anti-inflammatory action. I'm astounded and impressed just thought I'd mention this very surprising and unexpected "side benefit," FYI. Wow!

It's a good thing I have two knees
because when one of them gets tired of giving me grief and wants to take a break the other one - being fully rested - starts up.October 26 I was at wits' end, hadn't had a pain-free day since mid-March, over six months from arthroscopy to repair torn menisci and clean up a LOT of arthritic debris. I've seen the intraoperative photos and there was extensive synovitis, menisci were ragged and torn.Thing is, I was having pain disproportionate to the surgery, and swelling, and FIRE and wouldn't you know it, I got a raging case of RSD (look it up, it's been renamed, put into the medical witless projection service, aka "Complex Regional Pain Syndrome") and months and months of physical therapy and sympathetic nerve fiber injections and a couple hundred percocet later, I was feeling better but my KNEES, especially the right one.I saw the orthopedist again in October and got one more shot of cortisone. Which didn't work. Made things worse. Then I saw the Pain manager, got a couple more MRIs - knees AND back - and found a couple of herniated discs.Wait, this gets better. So I schedule a followup appointment with ortho for November, a month out from the last shot. Synvisc is next, maybe partial joint replacement. Pain management sets me up for an epidural steroid injection. I've lost weight (ten more pounds to lose for ideal body mass for my age/height), am walking a few times a week and still eating percocet for bedtime, eating motrin until my ears ring.I came across an article on seven things to do for inflammation around October 24, looked into cherry juice prices and ordered some.Within DAYS the surgerized knee was FINE. Pain all gone. Back? Nerve is still pinched, had the steroid injection and just ordered an inversion therapy table, but the knees feel better than they have in years.I'm convinced it's the cherry juice. And I don't have to take it every day, just a couple ounces seems to last for days.I saw a patient this morning, a friend who has a lot of arthritic pain and I gave him a bottle of this stuff.I'll know in a couple of days if this is more than placebo effect, but judging from the popularity of this product and the available literature I've reviewed, it looks like a winner.I'll have to plant tart cherry trees on my retirement property.Arthritis? Looking for something different? Try this. All you've got to lose is your pain.

As Close to a Miracle Cure As You Can Expect!
This is a miracle cure for sure! Okay, maybe "cure" is being a bit drastic. But, I can honestly say that EVERYONE who left positive feedback about Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate and it's positive effect on arthritis and other joint pain is telling the God's honest truth. I added this to lemonade that I make with lemon juice and a sugar substitute and drank it a few times a day as I do with the regular lemonade. I didn't feel like mixing a couple of tablespoons at bedtime or mixing a bit in my beverages here and there, so I counted out an assumed equivalent and went from there.I have both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis along with nerve damage from diabetes (but I'm not saying this product helps nerve damage. It may, but I'm just speaking on the joint pain from arthritis). My doctor calls it "neck down" pain because everything from my neck down hurts like heck at times and more often than not. Without doing anything different other than adding Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate, the thumb and a portion of my left hand that used to ache like crazy and give me fits, even with medication, is no longer a factor at all. It's amazingly better. And, the right hand where I'd begun to have problems in my thumb and the surrounding area is perfectly fine. In fact, until I decided to write this review did I even remember that my right thumb had begun to hurt. My hands used to hurt and the pain in my knees was unbearable. Now, everything is better. Much better. I still have a bit of pain from time to time, but the shape I was in before and the shape I'm in now is as different as night and day.My son's pediatrician (who also works in Internal Medicine), turned me on to this as well as other great ways to improve my health. You'd think my pain management doctors or any of the many other doctors I've gone to for pain would've know this. But, I'm too grateful for my son's pediatrician taking the time to help me out to worry too much about the many doctors who didn't. She also gave me a great vitamin regime to follow and told me the value of pomegranate juice. Thanks to her and the Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate, I'm actually going to be able to keep up with the 11 year old grandson whom I'm blessed to be raising and teaching to play basketball. Yaaaaay Me!

2001 medical clinical trials report cherry has swelling reducing properties. 2012 additional medical clinal trials report that
(Continued) only the cherry has significant swelling reducing properties among the additional fruits tested in 2012. The amount of swelling reaction from the first trial was from around 220 to 180 rating within 5 hours of eating two servings of cherries.Short version - highly recommended - each serving has 60 cherries and is effective in significantly reducing redness and swelling of my feet and calves ... And letting me be on my feet for all day versus 1 -2 hrs due to edema (swelling from heart failure).Long version: I was in cardiac icu for edema (swelling)for heart failure. I was 250lbs at check in and having trouble breathing. After finding the research results above, I called my friend to bring me cherries and he brought about a potato sack of it. I kept eating them and eating them through the day and night and gave some to my mom to take home when she visited me. I checked out of icu early three days after I ate the cherries. I tried to repeat eating the cherries but it gets hard after a while to eat sixty in one sitting and counting. Luckily I found the review by another amazoner who also read about the benefits of the cherry and she said this one is the best of what she has tried. Man this concentrated cherry juice works. I'm looking at my normal sized white feet (not swollen red like on fire feet) and I just have to say thank god! If you need quicker fix waiting for this to arrive then also please try the cherry juice at your local store but there is a difference -- first the taste is very ranging and unripe in this therapeutic product. The other thing that helps me are the furosemide/LASIX prescribed pills but I heard those only work for a while and then become ineffective in the long run. Oh I also heard knattokinase and serrappeptase along with Niacin are the best to actually raise HDL cholesterol 20% and lower LDL cholesterol 20% to remove plaque from the circulatory system and eat away at blood clots. They are supposed to be taken on an empty stomach. Also add Lechithin to activate more HDL because lechithin is a limiting factor in the process. Also note that lechithin and knattokinase are both derived from soybeans.
