Dye Precision Performance Padded Paintball Top

I bought the S/M size because I wear medium shirts, in the beginning I thought I made a mistake because it looks very small, I tried it and it was very very tight. Anyway the first time I used it on a game I was very happy because after some minutes I just forgot I was wearing it. I remembered that I was wearing it at the first hit I receive in the chest, the paintball didn't hurt at all and it bounced, so I was still in the game :).It doesn't have any padding in the lower back, wich is very good because it doesn't interfere with your harness.It is good that it fits so tight to your body because you can use your jersey or a anything over it.

Although I feel like I'm putting on a scuba diving suit with this it does have nice amount of padding in key areas, I have not used it for playing yet and not sure if I will unless we get limited to layers of clothing for some event . I wear a L shirt and got xl of this. It fits pretty tight, not sure if I'd fit into a L without being way too tight. Honestly think it will be better after broken in a bit

I bought this shirt because I was looking for a padded undershirt, something that I could wear unobtrusively under a normal shirt, whenever I go for rough contact sports. With that in mind, I was purposely looking for a tight fitting, body hugging shirt because I didn't want it to look to bulky. On the issue about size, I don't think they have a problem with size. This shirt is about the same size you'd have if you bought one of those tight fitting, dry-fit athletic shirts. The only thing that makes it "feel" smaller is because of the padding, which makes it feel more restrictive. No problem putting it on though since it's very stretchable. The problem comes in when you try to remove it, not because it's small exactly but because the extra padding again makes it more rigid and restrictive so it doesn't come off as easily. I'm a medium usually, I got the S/M and found it perfect. For those who want a tight fitting shirt, then get your normal size. You want something slightly loose, get 1 size bigger. If you want something that will fit like a loose t-shirt, then go find a different shirt because even just by looking at the contours of this shirt, you know that it was meant to be a body hugging shirt.Anyway, on to the pros and cons. The only bad thing I have to say about this shirt is the padding. They padded all the right places and the aesthetic design of the padding looks fabulous but I have to say that it's a bit too soft for my taste. The padding gives you about as much protection as a bubble jacket. They may look thick on the picture, and although they are decently thick in person they're just too soft to really offer that much protection. It does a decent job of taking out the sting of paintballs especially glancing hits, but you still get welts if hit directly. I recently tried this when I sparred in rapier fencing and it didn't quite do as good. I still felt just about every thrust and stab aimed at me. Still, soft padding is better than no padding I guess.But because of the soft padding, it gives you way better mobility than any other padded shirt I've tried. I won't say that you "won't notice" that you're wearing the shirt (as other comments here have mentioned), you'll still always be conscious of a discomfort from wearing a padded shirt (as compared to a normal shirt) but it's still better than any other padded shirt I've tried. It's also great at cooling and wicking away the sweat. What really sells this product for me though is its looks. This is one sexy shirt!!! I really don't mind wearing it on it's own. I wore it with jeans and it looks great. It has a good way of making your chest look bigger (if it fits you properly that is).The reason I give it 4 stars is because it's a great looking shirt that does what it's supposed to: adds protection against paintballs. However due to it's softer padding, I don't think you can use it for any other contact sport. If they had stiffer padding then I would have given it 5 stars.

I am 5'9" and weight about 130lbs. I got medium and it is very snug when wearing it. there isn't much "give" in this thing, so after a long day of playing and being sweaty, don't expect to easily take this thing off without help. Because of the lack of "give"/stretch, I almost feel like a turtle when I am trying to put it on and especially taking it off afterwards. I always ask for help taking it off. It offers good protection though and I have had several shots bounce off of it.

I'm 6'1" and 205lbs. Bought an XXL and it is a pain to put on and after you sweat in it, you feel like you're going to break every stitch trying to take it off. I play a lot of woods ball and was hoping to be able to wear just this under a ghillie for protection from my friends that don't like to play "surrender." Every hit I have taken has been in between pads. This thing is useless. Looks cool, but it was a waste of my money and I wish I could have it back to get something more useful...

I bought this in medium size and found it was too small across the shoulders by far. I let a kid have it when i went paint-balling shortly after receiving this. I ordered the large size thinking that maby they just run a little small overall. i was so wrong, the shoulders were still super tight, it rips your arm pits up. and for me in the large size it no longer fit well over my torso. I should mention that these are almost impossible to get off by yourself... so pray you have someone nice enough to help you

Got the item to try it out and I have purchase size L/XL. I am 5ft. 9in and about 178 pound. This shirt is toooooo small. I had trouble putting on the shirt and it is nice looking with good padding.It does make you look badass. Then the trouble started. I tried to take if off and I got stuck. I had to get help with my wife have to pull at the other end while I slowly wiggle my way out of the shirt. I will have to return this size and get an 2XL if they have it. I normally where size L but this item feels too tight and too trouble some to put on and take off with out the fear of ripping it.

First off, this thing looks cool.As for the padding, its more designed for bounces than to protect you from impact. You'll still feel it when you get shot. The softer padding allows it to move with you better as well, so it's comfortable to wear.Lots of reviews state that the sizing for these is "way off," and if you were to go by the size t-shirt you wear that is an accurate criticism. Dye's website provides a sizing chart that will help you select the right size. I'm 6' 0", weigh 195 and have a 42" chest and the XXL fits perfect, just like the size chart says it will.Overall I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Ich habe mir die Kundenrezensionen hier zu Herzen genommen und die XXL-Variante bestellt.(Trage normalerweise L/XL in Shirts)Was soll ich sagen? Erster Eindruck: Extrem gut verarbeitet.Zweiter Eindruck: Zum Glück hab ich die größte Größe bestellt.Die Dinger fallen mehr als nur klein aus. Schon beim Versuch reinzukommen habe ich meine Freundin um ihren Yogaunterricht beneidet.(Ich bin 176cm groß, sehr breite Schultern, Hüftspeck ist vorhanden :D )Einmal reingeschlüpft sitzt das Teil dann wie eine zweite Haut, fühlt sich sehr gut an und kratzt nicht!Da ich etwas kräftigere Oberarme habe musste ich etwas an den Ärmeln zupfen damit sie nicht im Achselbereich einschneiden.Irgendwie bin ich dann auch wieder alleine aus dem Teil rausgekommen (halben Kopfstand auf der Couch und 2 Platzangstanfälle später).Mit etwas Übung oder einer Anziehhilfe kann man über diesen Umstand hinwegsehen.Abgesehen von dem An- und Ausziehen, kann ich die Qualität nur als herausragend beschreiben. Erste Feuertaufe gibt es demnächst. Samt Nachtrag.Nachtrag 24.10.2015:Das Top hat seine ersten Spiele hinter sich und ich bin immernoch ziemlich begeistert. Hatte das Top einen kompletten Spieltag an (8h strömender Regen) und das Top hat nie gestört und wunderbar für Bouncer gesorgt.Einziger Kritikpunkt: Der Hüftbereich und die Vorderseiten der Schulterpartien sind nicht gepolstert. Wer also mal keinen Podgürtel trägt, ist an den Hüftseiten nicht so gut gepolstert unterwegs.

Wow what an amazing fit!!! But once fitted it's almost impossible to be removed, it's a bit like Spider-Man when he got trapped in that black version out fit which he tried to get out of but struggled emmencely and I'm not kidding..... You will need help getting it off! Don't get me wrong "Dye" products are well made, second to none but this product calls for modification as to sizing. I normally wear size M and I bought a large to X-large and it fit me like a super hero outfit...... All spandex style lol

Das Teil ist Qualitativ gut, aber wie bereits von anderen erwähnt sind die Maße ein Witz!!!Ich bin 1,76 groß und habe einen normalen Körperbau. In Tshirts trage ich M.XL war zu klein und XXL passt gerade so."Fällt klein aus" trifft es hier wirklich nicht mehr. Die Teile fallen nicht klein sondern winzig aus.Wer soll bitte M oder gar S tragen?Also bestellt euch XXL. Wenn ihr Glück habt ist es euch nicht zu klein.
