Superior Price, Excellent Service, Great Product!
OK I’ve had this tripod for 10 minutes and I’m already ready to give it a review. Before purchasing this tripod I did extensive research on what tripod I needed.I required a sturdy light weight Video Camera Tripod capable of holding a large camera. The Brand name tripods that can do this are Benro and Manfrotto of which comparable models will run you upwards of 300$ and more. I was nervous because reading some of the other reviews insinuated that this tripod was wobbly, but most of the reviews said it was great and a great buy so I took a chance.I am very pleased to tell you that this tripod is my best purchase so far of 2020 I saved half the money on the other tripods and It is not wobbly in the slightest! You tighten the stabilizer rings underneath the camera head the people who wrote that clearly are not experienced cameramen! This Tripod is excellent with my 15 pound camera attached to it! NOT A SINGLE WOBBLE, and I saved 150$ I also asked brand-name beats if they could expedite the shipping for me and they did free of charge!A well deserved 5 stars guys! Much appreciated!

Very impressive. Top quality for the price.
Review from filmmaker/travel videographer:Overall build quality is very impressive. This is easily the tallest capable tripod I’ve ever worked with. Can go far higher than my head which is a really helpful feature for many situations. The locking legs, while plastic, are very secure and very easy to latch and unlatch. Several tripods can be hard on the hands to do so.The legs also allow for a second “wider-spread” position using the very solid metal adjusting buttons - this can help you shoot lower to the ground as well as add more stability. The center column has two twist locks that allow you to extend it higher. On any tripod you can’t expect too much stability from a center pole but I’m impressed on how well it handles. To shoot at eye level you do need to extend the center column a bit, the legs alone put the camera close to my chin. This is definitely geared for the travel crowd. The way that the legs invert and the tripod folds down to a smaller position is very handy for travel and attaching to a backpack. The monopod feature is a surprising addition. Connecting the head to the center column allows for some very tall shots. Would be good for weddings or event video, or any situation where you may need to get higher than the crowds. The head is mostly plastic. The tripod plate is nice and large - helpful for accommodating larger cameras. I tested it out with my Canon 7D mkii and 28-300 mm massive lens (pictured here), under 10 lbs and a lot of length. It handled the whole package very well, I am impressed. You can’t compare it to the high end fluid heads that are 2-5x the price, but for this price range it’s right up there in terms of build quality. When it comes to shooting, it does take some getting used to to find the right maneuvering to ease in and out of your pan and tilt shots. Just grabbing the panhandle and turning you may find it jarring. But stick with it, get your body close to the camera and find the right amount of pan/tilt lock-twisting to get smooth moving shots. Also google the “rubber band method” for panning shots.Includes high quality carrying bagOverall, it is a good travel video tripod. Folds down to a pretty short length and has the option to get taller than any other tripod I’ve seen on the market. Very well built for this price range. When it comes to getting a smooth pan and tilt it is certainly capable, but does take some practice to find the right way to do it. Also keep in mind this is for video/horizontal photos only, the head doesn’t swivel to portrait mode (the brand sells other tripods if you’re looking for a photography option).

Great Functional Tripod
I don’t write reviews to often as I am one just to purchase camera equipment after extensive research. However, I will make an exception regarding this tripod. There are so many types of tripods out there especially on Amazon that it can get so overwhelming.I am here to tell you that the Geekoto Video Camera Tripod is nothing short of amazing. Short being the pun intended because it can actually expand to 77 inches! Upon delivery, it was like Christmas came early for me. Once you open the package, it comes with an awesome carrying case and a shoulder strap. Nothing is worst than having to take multiple trips from your car hauling your camera equipment. I’m personally “team one trip” so the strap helps me tenfold. The tripod is an aluminum construction which makes it lightweight. Though it does not feel cheap to the touch. The setup is user-friendly and the adjustment system for the legs run effortlessly. I paired this off with the L-Shaped Quick Release Plate to make this a functional setup for the shoot. The heaviest part honestly is the head…HOWEVER that is my favorite part about the tripod. The fluid head in which you can tilt and pan ever so smoothly. Gives you some buttery footage. I took this tripod powerlifting meet at a gym which requires me to do quick pans. This was the perfect tool.A cool addition to the tripod is you can turn it into a monopod, though I haven’t used that functionality just yet.My only gripe was that this tripod is a little big for travel in comparison to the other tripods out there. Then again, you are not getting this for the compact design. If you’re looking for a versatile tripod, this is your one stop shop. I didn’t feel uneasy about putting my camera on it as I knew that it would hold it just right. Not that my camera is super heavy, but I have confidence that bigger setups will do just fine.Thank you Geekoto for a wonderful product!

Good Tripod
The shipping was fast and the product arrived on time. When I opened the box, the tripod was packaged well and came in a durable bag with a helpful carrying strap. Because I fly, travel, and hike a lot, size and weight are very important to me; this tripod is a bit heavier and more bulky than other tripods I have owned, though I don't think it's overly so.I live in Hawaii so I was a bit unsure how the tripod would work out since there was a note on the instructions to not use the tripod in water/let it get wet or in sand. I've used it several times now, taking it on hikes, letting the tripod sit in running water, waterfalls, on the beach, and in the ocean and it's still holding up strong! No rust or breaking as of yet and it's been very functional and sturdy when shooting with it. The only issue with the stability is where the small orange piece connects to the black pole (see the second photo). It's a bit wobbly and I haven't figured out how to tighten it or if it even tightens, or if it's just defective on this particular tripod but it makes it difficult to shoot long exposures when I can't be certain that my camera will remain completely still... Other than that, it's a good tripod and I'm excited to take it on some international travels with me to see how it holds up!

Great tripod -- Exceeded Expectations
I just got into photography about 2-3 months ago and ordered this as my first real tripod. My one before that was a terrible $13 tri I bought at WalMart. (You get what you pay for, I know.) Which is the great thing about this tripod. You get what you pay for. The price is a little steep but I have been very pleased with its performance when I am out shooting with the camera (Canon t5i).The pros:-The swivel head is very fluid-Option to switch from tripod to monopod is an awesome feature-Hook underneath tripod to hang additional weight for balance and sturdiness-Range of motion on the tripod legs -- I was blown away by just how versatile this tripod is in regard to range. It extends tall while maintaining sturdiness but the legs can also be adjusted to sit nearly parallel to the ground to get very very low tripod shots. This is my favorite feature by far.Cons-WeightSo far, this is the only con I have found with the tripod. It is a little heavy to lug around if you are more of a "run and gun" type photographer. But with the added weight you get a very sturdy tripod. This tripod is great for landscape, city scape, portrait, and astro photography. All in all, this is an awesome tripod for the price. All photos attached were taken using the tripod.
