I am definitely a beginner and will enjoy learning with these new accessories. Don't be misled by the initial description of the product where it says "machine roller". Not sure what that is meant to be but there is nothing mechanical in here. It also said bazooka came with instruction manual but it did not. But from what I've read on other reviews it's easy to find YouTube videos on how to use the bazooka. There were no missing pieces. The bamboo dipping bowls are quite shallow, as someone else described more a plate than a bowl. Haven't actually tried making sushi rolls yet so I can't comment on the knife but it looks adequate. Happened to be on sale when I purchased it. Under $16. So even if I never use the chopsticks, bamboo dipping plates, and chopstick holders I feel I got my money's worth.

My husband loved this kit. He's just learning how to make sushi. It's easy to use. One tip, wrap the bamboo sushi mat with plastic wrap before putting the food in it. It makes it much easier to make the roll without all the rice sticking to it. When you are done, just toss the plastic wrap.

My kids and I love sushi, but can't afford to go out all the time to eat at sushi restaurants. I purchased this sushi set as a way to try and make sushi at home. It works great!Pros:The knife very thin, though very sharp.The mats are high quality though I don't use them that often, I use the bazooka.The bazooka. This is absolutely the easiest way to make a good tight roll.Cons:There is only one, the dishes. I believe that these are made for soy sauce, however they are very shallow. They measure, about 3mm in depth. You can't put more than a few drops of sauce in it before it overflows and forget about dipping anything in them. This is the only reason it wasn't five stars.

I had really high hopes but sadly disappointed. First the positive the bamboo mats are nice, the chopsticks and the fabric holder are lovely. The avocado cutter works. The duck chopstick holder is exactly as pictured.Now the bad The plastic is thin and not sturdy. The the locking clips on the side constantly pop off. It took my 14yo daughter and myself to successfully use the extruder (I had to hold it together as she pushed the rice out because the clips kept popping off and it would ooze out the sides). The knife is crap it didn't cut it smashed. The wooden dishes and spoon need to be sanded, they are so rough.This is a kit I would expect to find at a dollar store.
