Another fabulous cookbook highlighting Florida ... don't miss it!
Another cookbook celebrating the glories of Florida. It's also a great travelogue. Terrific recipes that I'm eager to try. I feel blessed to live in this very beautiful and unique state.

An outstanding guide to Florida dining and cooking
The authors have put forth an outstanding labor of love that celebrates Florida's agriculture and very best chefs and restaurants. In fact, recipes aside, this book is perhaps the best restaurant guide to the state of Florida you're liable to find -- if you like fresh, locally sourced restaurants with phenomenal flavors. The personal stories of the chefs are inspiring while the recipes are compelling, alternating between Florida-inspired classics to surprising original offerings.

I thought I ordered a new book...
I like this book and expect to find it very useful, but it was used rather than new. The book itself is fine, but it has a gift To-From on the inside, and one of those "From the Library Of" stickers from a bank. Since I don't see any damage to the actual reading material, I won't return it.

Great Book!
One Saturday, I received an unexpected knock on my door and answered it to two ladies requesting my husband's autograph and a look at our family farm. They were driving around the state and visiting the farms that are featured in this book and our farm is one of those featured! I then remembered the author visiting about three years ago and interviewing us for a recipe book that she and her mother were writing. Of course, after seeing the published book, I immediately ordered one for my mother-in-law, a close friend, and myself! I am impressed with the quality, and readability of this book. The recipes will appeal to the everyday family cook as well as to the weekend gourmet chef! There is something for every skill level. It is also a beautiful book to display in my kitchen! - God bless the Food, the Hands that prepared it, and the Farmer that grew it. - I am proud to have our 6th generation Florida Family Farm shown off as part of this book.

Cooking is fun
I saw the authors of this cookbook at a local cooking demo. I was very impressed by them and purchase their Florida seafood cookbook (the name is escaping me right now) After using that cookbook and loving the ease and tastiness of the recipes I had to purchase this cookbook!

Feast for the reader!
Purchased one to keep and one to give. And will order more as gifts. Listened to review/interview on local PBS which propmted the order. Flip thru the look inside option. Long time area reporters' interviews, great photographs and just delightful reading.... much, much more than a Florida recipe book.

Great Source for Florida Recipes
I bought this book a year ago when I moved to Florida from Wisconsin. The climate here is so different that I liked the idea of a cookbook that would tell me what's available locally and give me more information about farmers in the area. I recently read about Robert Is Here in Homestead and decided a road trip was in order. I came back with a pound of key limes and made the classic key lime pie recipe. All the recipes I've tried so far have been winners!

The "real" Florida!
I enjoyed learning about the diversity of Florida's agriculture world with great photos and stories. It has a nice assortment of recipes from drinks to meals to desserts based on products grown in the state or caught offshore.
