Transformers: Combiner Wars

Questa è di sicuro una delle migliori storie che io abbia mai letto sui Transformers, dei disegni stupendi e realistici, personaggi carismatici ed una storia spettacolare. Se siete amanti dei Transformers non lasciatevi scappare questo capolavoro assoluto! E chi lo sà, magari un giorno decideranno di realizzare un film basato su questa storia, sarebbe un'idea grandiosa!

Der Beschenkte war froh wie ein Kind unterm Weihnachtsbaum. Ich kann dem Transformerkult nichts abgewinnen.Aber ich mache anderen gerne eine Freude.

Yikes. This is not very good. Having been spoiled by the astonishingly high quality of More Than Meets The Eye and Robots in Disguise, this collection feels like a rushed attempt to promote the Combiner Wars line. Which would be fine, except it's so ham-fisted and uninteresting. The only saving graces are the glimpses into the inner workings of combiners, and the brief glimpses of Caminus.The artwork has taken a turn for the worse, too. On the first chapter its way too dark. Not in mood, it's literally too dark to see what's happening. Also, we're told that the Combiners have wrecked a huge city, but the artwork doesn't show it at all. Just generic, dark backgrounds. By far the worst collection of the current IDW era.
