I am going to review all of the pieces I have bought from this jeweler. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchases. I purchased a 30", 2.1mm cable chain on 12-25-2021. I returned that one because it wasn't as appealing to me as I expected. There was nothing wrong with the chain itself. I purchased a 24", 2.2 mm flat oval chain on 12-25-2021 as well. I liked the style and size of this piece overall. I liked it so much, I bought a 30" mariner link necklace on 2-17-2022. Then on May 23, 2022, my wife noticed a black mark around the back of my neck. I had to use rubbing alcohol to remove the mark from my skin. I figured out it was the oval chain that had turned black. I took a picture of it at the time (with the cotton balls), mostly to record the time. I figured out after the pictures which one caused the mark. I didn't bother messaging the jeweler or posting a review at that time. For one thing, I doubted the jeweler was going to offer a replacement since it was almost 5 months later. The mariner chain was still in good condition until recently (10/14/2023). The lobster clasp broke apart recently, but I replaced it myself.When I decided I wanted to add to my collection, I bought two bracelets from Kooljewelry on 6-14-2023. I purchased the mariner link and a figaro link bracelet, both are 3.3mm. I am very satisfied with them as well.When I took updated pictures of the chains, I noticed the one necklace that turned has a link that says Turkey (picture included). None of my other pieces have that link. It leads me to believe the issue is most likely a quality issue from that specific supplier. Only guessing, especially since I have no idea how many suppliers they use. I also figured it would be of some use to Kooljewelry to monitor their suppliers' quality.I know this is long, but if you are like me, you want to feel like you made a good purchasing decision. I went into this thinking the price was worth the overall risk, and at the end of the day, I feel it has been. The jewelry is a fraction of the price of 100% real gold jewelry, it is durable and looks good. I don't abuse it, but I don't take it off when I shower or wash my hands. My 2-year-old granddaughter grabs my necklace all of the time, and it has withstood her punishment (she's not the reason the clasp broke either). So, I would say they are very durable.

As a jeweler I have come across a lot of different manufacturers, each with their own differences in quality of material. These arrived and were definitely a solid choice. A bit high on price but in a pinch these were good quality and would purchase again.

This is a beautiful gold chain which brings comments whenever worn. I only wish I had bought a longer one and probably will at some point.

If you are looking for something to hold a pendant, this will do a good job. The one I got was 20 in. and 1.5mm which wasn't super thin or short and is light weight. Works just fine to hold up most pendants. I think this one costed me like $20 so not too bad. But I did run into some things I didn't like about it either. While it matched my 14k pendant well enough, the yellow was a little pale in comparison. And this chain doesn't catch the light or shimmer at all if that's what you are looking for (I was hoping for that). The links themselves don't feel well crafted and thin but from afar you wouldn't really notice. It's gold filled so it should be able to be worn in the shower, but I probably won't because I don't wear jewelry much anyway. If it stays the same color, I'll go up a star and if it tarnishes, I will go down a star.Edit: I bought it again and it has minimal signs of wear. I recommend.Edit 2: Actually, the second one has turned coppery-brown. I didnt put it in water, but i did leave it on my shelf in the open for two weeks instead of putting it back in the original packaging. It lasted about 8 months which is good. If you never put your jewelry away, it will 'age' faster.

At first I liked it, thought it was perfect. But then it turned my skin green and got tangled more easily than any necklace I’ve ever had. Would have returned it but didn’t start having problems with it until after the return cutoff…
