Great quality!
The root is very fresh and a nice lite color. You can tell if it’s old by a darker yellow color. The other way to tell if it’s fresh is by the texture. It wasn’t mushy or soft, just the right texture. We use the root to make a tea and it’s wonderful.

Great for lowering blood pressure
The flavor is very bitter. Personally I use it in a tea. It has many health benefits. This package is great because you can see how fresh the root is.

no directions on the package but a friend knew how to make it.
Excellent results as a diuretic herbal tea .Due to ''insufficient veins'' my foot swells but this herbal tea works wonders and the swelling is decreased by a good 90%...way way better than doctor's prescriptions . Also the taste is pleasant.I use one teaspoonful of Astralagus to one cup of water. Bring to a boil and leave on low heat for 25 minutes then leave in the pot for 25 minutes on OFF.Drain through a sieve and drink.
