Trash!
This thing is trash! Not even a year old and it’s so far bent that is breaking in two pieces. Not to mention, when I pull the lever to open the gas door, it doesn’t even spring open.. I Don’t recommend this product!

Great! Why didn't we buy this sooner?
Who knew that fixing the fuel door so that it pops open again would be so easy?! We went a year without looking into why the fuel door was stuck and with the aggravation that caused. Hubby finally had had enough, and found a video online that showed that it can be done by one person with an object - a rubber ducky- to prop the fuel door release handle up, or two people (one holding the fuel release handle while the other person opens the fuel door and installs this part.) The repair took two minutes!

It works well and fits with minor fix
I had to grind off about 1/8 inch off each end near the hinge to get it to fit, but that was easy, and then it fit my 2009 Lexus R 350 pefectly.

Easy to replace broken spring - worth it

Weak spring, not compatible with 2019 Rav4
The plastic bracket on my 2019 Rav4 Hybrid Limited broke and I bought this as a replacement.This replacement part did NOT fit my 2019 Rav4:1. One edge is too wide and didn't fit inside the fuel door hinge. I needed to file down the edges (this was pretty easy to do)2. The spring itself is too weak. After filing the edges and inserting the part my fuel door would open and then swing itself shut. I had to salvage the metal spring from my OEM Part and insert it into the plastic bracket from the Amazon replacement part. If your OEM spring is lost/broken this solution won't work for you.

Fixed the Problem
My son has an older Rav4 and his switch stopped working to open fuel door. Did some research and found the door spring had broken. After viewing a youtube video on how to fix it, there was a link for this part. The part was a great price and very easy to install (took 2 minutes) and the problem was resolved, Definately recommend this product.
