Q: How do these hold everything in place

The stretch fabric does a good job of keeping everything in place

Q: How do these compare with the Papi low rise cotton in terms of coverage and comfort?

I don't know about the Papi low rise, but these have great coverage and are very soft cotton. My boyfriend's favorite underwear by far. From the papi pictures, it looks like the 2xist are much thicker cotton. 2xist would be comparable to your normal tightie whities for weight, but the weave is much tighter and the cotton is much softer than your average underwear.

Q: Are the leg bands elasticized (I like having a tight ”seal”)?

Yes there are, not very tight. comfortable

Q: I wear size large. What is the length from bottom of waistband to top of leg opening at thinest part?

Mine are size small. From the bottom of the waistband to the highest point on the leg is 1 1/2". From the top of the waistband to that same point is 2 3/4".
