The important message in this book : prior to pregnancy the epithelial cells of the breast are in an immature state and are vulnerable to hormones and this vulnerability can lead to mistakes as they reproduce. After a full term pregnancy the cells are in a mature state and less likely to make an error during mitosis. The cause of cancer is a mistake in mitosis which changes the time clock in the daughter cell and this leads to premature division of the cell. An important issue not discussed is the increase incidence of breast cancer after IVF- it is very high.

As 2 time survivor of breast cancer I was glad to get this book. I only wish it had been written 25 years ago. I gave a talk in my speech class on these facts taken from excerpts from this book from different publications and I am glad to finally get this book. very informative.

The "Birth Control Pill" is the only medicine prescribed to SHUT DOWN a perfectly working organ. Can you imagine a Doctor saying, or your leg is fin, here take this pill so it will go stiff and be rendered useless. Seriously!!! This work details the relationship and causality between first pregnancy abortion, the birth control pill and breast cancer. The book is written for the non scientist ans explains clearly the difficulties doing this type of research and the pitfalls many research scientists have fallen into. I recommend this book. It is fair, carefully written, and concise.
