Not for people with high arches
Sadly, La sportiva adds a piece of material under the lacing that prohibits anyone with high arches to get the shoes on. I love La sportiva and very disappointed that they are doing that

No 'break-in' needed with these!
These are my 2nd pair, they're excellent trail runners/walking shoes, and need no time to break 'em in. Really, I forget I have them on cause the they're so comfortable. There's a bit of heft to them, but really, once they are on your feet -feel cushioned & supported. The toe box is roomy and the heel won't slip on me (I have narrow heels). Also there aren't ankle or heel hot spots. the laces can be taught for a more secure feeling or if you ankles gotta have some room, loosen 'em and you're good. I usually wear a 7-8, but I bought these in 8.5 and they're perfect. Mid-to-dark gray mesh with red lace hooks makes for a more neutral selection than many of the flashier colors out there. During Covid times I walk approx. 7-10,000 steps a day on pavement and hiking trails and started to wear out the treads in about 1.5 years. So glad to get the same shoes!

Leaving Brooks for my new love La Sportiva
Bought Merrill boots and La Sportiva sneaker. Excellent arch support, comfy heel cushion, and great look! Worked well with all terrain. Needed my boots for ankle support on rockier hikes. But wore these in all the National Parks of Utah I visited (5). I’m leaving Brooks for La Sportiva!

Very Durable and Comfortable.
I had previously purchased a pair of LaSportiva Wildcat Trail Running shoes at a local sports retailer when I was first getting into running. I had gone in to have my foot fitted by a professional and to make sure that I was getting the correct shoe for my type of running. According to my 'running professional' I have 'wicked long and narrow' feet so there were only two brands of shoes that fit my feet. I purchased a pair of the above mentioned shoes and started running. I found that this brand is very comfortable on my foot, did not need any type of adjustment and they have held up wonderfully over the 6 months that I had them. I had gotten a lot of mileage on my first pair when I began to notice that I had worn down the considerable treads on the bottoms of my sneakers. At that time I also participated in an 'Adventure 5K' which included mud which pretty much trashed my first pair so it was time to retire them anyways. I would not normally purchase shoes online, however, because I was so happy with the performance of my previous pair i was happy to buy them again. Amazon provided these sneakers at a significant savings over what I had paid previously. How can that not make you happy. :-) If you are into running, and especially running off road these may be the shoes for you.

Awesome shoe!
La Sportiva has been a lifesaver for me. I was having problems plantar fasciitis and other feet problems when wearing other types of walking shoes. I walk 2-4 mile trail DAILY and have not had ANY problem since I started purchasing La Sportiva trail shoes. This is my 3rd style and it is EXCELLENT. There is not a break-in issue and the shoes have kept me active. The first style I wore (had 3 pairs) has been discontinued. Another shoe was for slick rock hiking in western National Parks. I wear this pair daily and will probably be ordering a new pair soon as I literally walk the soles as I have logged over 750 miles in this pair.

Great shoe for hiking!
I was looking for a lighterweight shoe for hiking, and these were recommended. I wore them for the first time for a 10-mile hike of one of Maine's 4000'ers, and the second time for a 12-mile hike of one of NH's 4000'ers. They worked great, and I needed no break-in time. There's just enough stiffness in the sole and lovely padding so I didn't feel the rocks underfoot. Even on the few times that my toe pushed forward during long descents, I barely felt it. They were perfect for my purposes and my feet - they accommodate a slightly wider foot, and put no pressure on my many sore spots that I've earned from years of hiking. I'll likely get another pair with the gore-tex so I won't have to worry too much about wetter trails. If you are a runner, these will probably feel heavy to you; if you are accustomed to wearing hiking boots, these will be significantly lighter.
