I use this to make my homemade hair products shelf stable and add to the life of the products. It preserves flaxseed gel, okra gel, and my homemade serums and conditioners which contain water and oils.It smells like nothing to me which is great. Some people mentioned an unpleasant scent but I can't relate and I find it to be an amazing product.

This works well. I’m switching to a safer more natural preservative but I will say this worked for everything I used it for. Preserved, scrubs, lotions, hair products, food used for body products. It preserved it all!! Flaxseed is one of the hardest food items to preserve but this preserved it without any additional preservatives. However, one downside is the smell. It doesn’t smell bad at all but it’s scent is always left in the final product. I don’t use fragrances only EO for scent and they can’t fight with this. So keep that in mind.
