Good sand

My hamster uses it for a sand bath, (and also as a litterbox) it's much safer for their lungs than the dusts marketed for small animals. Its much softer and finer than the Exoterra sand we used previously which is kind of a good thing except it gets kicked out of the container easier, if it were the only substrate like in a reptile tank that wouldn't be an issue. It also has lots of debris in it (mostly looks like tiny shreds of wood) which is very obvious against the red/orange colour, i do worry a little about that. It does clump up when it gets wet and it's easier to clean up the clumps with this finer sand than the other stuff we were using which would cement to the bottom.

Sand came in great condition, no spillage and airtight. The sand is slightly less fine than the beige coloured one of the same brand, but after some sifting it’s great. I use it for my hamster sand bath and it’s my new favourite!

My little hamster loves it! He rolls in it, and also uses it like a litter box (only one corner).
