Support!! Comfort!!
Got these for my Husband ..... to wear as SLIPPERS. HONEST. He’s got a small Harley repair/Custom-build shop in back of house and habitually ends up out there for 2-3 hours first thing in morning. As we’ve both gotten a little older, he kept wondering why his back and knees hurt lots on some days. After unsuccessfully trying convince him to always wear shoes/boots with arch support and cushioned soles ANY time he went to shop, I finally said, “OK, sweetheart, if I can get you a pair if slup-on Dr. Martens as comfortable as the moccasins you wear out every month, will you wear them as slippers? He didn’t believe it possible, but jokingly said, “Heck, I’ll pay for them and whatever new Dr. Martens YOU want if you can get any THAT comfortable!!!” Ordered these same day. The next week had the profound pleasure of smiling at my Hubby, and saying “Is today the day you’re going to buy these for me?” (Handing him my iPad with the ones I wanted displayed on the Amazon site) .... he got out his greasy phone and transferred the $170 to my checking account (with greasy fingers) right then and there😃😃 He didn’t even have to use the 6 thin-slippery pair of socks I got for him to use during “break-in.” Didn’t need them. He has many fewer days now of severe knee & back pain. (getting older isn’t for sissies!! Still has some aches and pains, but “normal” ones ... .... as if he wore solid shoes every time he went to his shop or something ... ...😄🤣😂🤣😂)

Love Dr's normally, disappointed
I have been wearing Doc's like, forever. In fact, I have a pair that I wear on special occasions that I have had for about 25 yrs. A few years a go I got back into the Restaurant business, part time... picked up a pair of Doc loafers... easy to get on and all. Just over two years later, my soles have cracked width wise on both shoes. Not sure when this happened - don't normally look at the soles. Such a shame because the rest of the shoes are absolutely in perfect condition! I thought the soles were guaranteed for life (against this kind of thing) but apparently that is no longer the case - I guess I know why!? Anyway, I can't get the loafers anywhere so I'll try a different style - not going to give up on Doc's.

My go-to shoe for years
Coming from the punk rock culture "docs" were always the standard. Fast forward 40 years to today and they are still my favorite work shoe. The Boyle is an easy to wear slip on that is rugged and stylish. Hurt my back several years ago, was unable to tie my shoelaces anymore, and went from trying goofy crocs to an assortment of "mall walker" slip-ons (read old fart) until I discovered the Boyle. I'm out in the wilderness drone mapping for work standing in powdery red clay dirt and deer poop all day and it takes a toll on my shoes. Have been through several pair but the Boyle does handle the environment well and I can expect a good year or more from each pair. What I typically do is have two pair going. The cleaner (newer) pair are for Church and going out and the dusty crusties for work. When the old ones start giving out I rotate me cleaner pair into work regime and purchase a new pair are my dress clod hoppers. They are heavy and take a little getting used to but I wear them daily for 10-12 hours and they do the job! Buy em.

It's like a long lost friend
Wearing these bring back the familiar feeling of comfort and reliability. I bought my first Boyle shoes 10 years ago and it lasted almost that long. When I first got it, it was very snug because the insole was not broken in yet. But after a few days, it felt just right. Fast forward to 2020, while this brand/style looks the same, some things are different. The insole is definitely different. It's not the same material. However, it's still comfortable. Also, it feels like the sole is a little thinner. Maybe I'm wrong. Perhaps it's the insole that's thinner. I can't put my finger on it.I don't know how long this new pair will last, but I hope I at least get a decent time with it. The only problem I have is that these do not come in half sizes. Be that as it may, I still feel comfortable in them. Maybe a pair of DrScholl's inserts would help.
