Soggy glaze! Was something left out!?
I am anxious to try some of the recipes and love that the instructions were very simple. The first recipe I tried was for the strawberry lemon donut. My concern for this particular recipe is that it said to us the remainder of the strawberry lemon puree in the glaze outside of 1/2 cup. When it came to mixing the glaze, the recipe did not tell you how much confectionate sugar to use in ratio to liquid. My glaze ended up very wet even after using 2 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar. The donuts were therefore soggy and not really edible by hand. So, there are some things left to an assumption a person using the cookbook has some knowledge of liquid to sugar ratio on this one.
