When stirred thoroughly, set up is quick under the UV light and is very clear with a nice shine after buffing.

So I started out with the 1st version of this resin, and have moved 'up' to this one. I have bought and tried about 7 different lights and none really seem to work well. From black lights to LED's, with 7watts to 75watts, nothing seems to work well. This is advertised to cure at 385nm which I have not found to be true. Your little flashlights are too small to use, and the lights you advertise for bigger projects did not work for me. I have spent a small fortune trying to use your product, and it should have been a fairly easy task. 385nm seems to be very difficult to achieve when lights vary by .5nm +/- . I can get it tacky, but to say this stuff gets hard...That is a stretch

Money waisted!!! Cures very slow and almost never totally dry!?! If u clean it after with alcohol based cleaner it will desolve and destroy work!!!

This product is horrible product to apply, it's so gummy nothing smooth is possible. If you let it sit it fish eyes so bad you end up with holes everywhere. This stuff fish eyes from itself even with absolutely clean substrate. This is best applied using your fingers, with gloves of course. Once buffed it is full of solvent pop so no clean finish is possible. If I am comparing this to finish I apply every day I would give it 1 star.On the other hand you don't spray it so no danger and all the apparatus needed for spraying. It cures fast in direct sunlight. After 4:00 hang it up on curing fast, but if you are working earlier it's golden. The final result is acceptable for low quality work, meaning it will look good to a novice. I used for a wood grain dash part and I can live with it. Eventually I with spray with urethane. Imperfections can be sanded to 3000 filled over, sanded and buffed with no apparent repair blemishes. This is important in finish work. The buffing process starts with 220 grit paper because this stuff is tough. It doesn't peel and thin layers won't de-laminate on you. Corners don't burn when buffing aggressively. It's really glossy even with the solvent pop and porosity in the finish.If I could figure out how to apply this without solvent pop, even with the rough and uneven finish, I could consider it in finer projects. I really would like this to work. I think with all that being said it's probably worth more experimentation. I plan to use thinner coats next go round. Last thought is this. Many thin coats with partial cure between each. May be 6 to 8. Plan to wet sand hard. Use grain filler (5 out of 5 stars) to seal up wood around work. Good luck.

This product is exactly as advertised! If the finish is not beautifully clear after curing and polishing, you did not follow the directions properly!Like everything, there is a learning curve but there are numerous tutorials online. If you do your homework and follow directions you will get great results.If you read them carefully, you will notice that the bad reviews also contain poor English grammer and spelling. So, take those with a grain of salt.

I am using Solarez to clear coat guitars. Amazing stuff. Apply it with a brush, cure it in the sun, level sand and buff. The shine is amazing!
