Q: Is it worth to buy it for nex-6 camera?

This lens is made for the "full frame" a7 series of cameras. it will attach to and work on the NEX-6, but will not be very effective as a wide zoom because of the size of the sensor in the NEX-6. This lens wil act like a 24-52mm lens which I don't think you want. Sony has an E 10-18mm F4 OSS E-mount Wide Zoom Lens, that is made for the NEX series and current a6000 types. When I had an NEX-7, I had that lens and it was one of the best lenses Sony makes. It's also a lot less expensive, smaller and lighter and it will give you the really wide zoom coverage I believe you're looking for.

Q: Because there is no switch on the lens to turn off image stabilization, is it necessary to turn off OIS some other way when using a tripod?

I hardly ever use a tripod, but if you do, you can turn off IS in the camera. The easiest way is to assign it to one of the 12 custom settings you get with the FN button. That way you don't have to look for it in a menu.

Sony 16-35 F4

This is a great lens and use it all the time on my Sony A7R IV, however I am not sure if this is recondition lens or a brand new one as the price is unbelievable low for this type of lens.
