Nice qt jar for fermenting!
Looks like a nice set up. Has replaceable seal, S-shaped airlock, and serviceable lid. Time for some fermented cider.

Grommet Lid and airlock fine but no jar
I got this for the many fermentations that I do on a regular basis but there was no jar. If you have gallon jars around this probably is not an issue but the first description of the product was Glass Gallon Jar.

All in one package, easy way for us to experiment with hard kombucha
We've gotten into brewing kombucha for our hobby of the last year when spending so much time at home. We started with a gallon jar and quickly moved into larger jars as we started drinking more and sharing with friends. Through this process, we've used a number of Fermentaholics products. We've found all of them to be exactly what we needed.I was excited when I saw this product as we have been experimenting with hard kombucha but didn't have a proper vessel with an airlock to do it right so i ordered it as soon as I saw it.It was a little bit of a bummer when that package arrived it was just a small envelope so I knew something was wrong. Sure enough, the jar was missing. I sent a message to the company, they had a mixup in logistics and the wrong product got sent. They apologized and sent me the missing jar which came a few days later. It is great to know they are a company that stands behind its products. The jar and lid themselves are pretty standard. Worth the $20 to know it is designed to work together and I'm excited to see how our batch of hard kombucha comes out.Overall very happy with the "Glass Gallon Jar with Grommet Lid and S-Shaped Airlock", it is perfect for our brewing needs.

Perfect for pickles and saurkraut!
Some fermenting projects can be done in quart or half-gallon jars, but large cucumbers for pickling and a decent size batch of Kraut/Kimchi really do need the large gallon jar.The problem is that all the fermenting kits use lids that only reach up to a half-gallon jar at max. I finally have a gallon jar with a lid that has a grommet/airlock set up. This works great!I got this just in time to start making pickles with my garden cukes and a batch of kraut is up next. The jar looks a little smaller than other gallon jars but I think it is just wider and not as tall comparatively which is actually better. It's the internal width and volume you need more than the height anyway.Overall this jar is solid and is perfect for all your fermenting needs!*I would suggest getting fermenting weights to help keep your food submerged under the brine. With such a wide jar you will need a few weights across the top to keep everything held down.

What the heck?
All I received is a lid and an airlock. And they're charging $20 for that? Unreal. An airlock of this style costs $2.50 from a beer and wine supply store. Sooo they're saying a jar lid costs $17.50? Sure, there is a nice center gasket and a sealing ring on the inside of the jar, but that's worth a few bucks at most. I'd like the jar that was listed in the description, thank you very much. I thought the other reviewer was the victim of an unfortunate shipping error. But no. Nope. They are deliberately being misleading in the title and description. Until or unless this issue is rectified I cannot recommend this item. It's a complete waste of money. There are better ways to get into fermentation.
