Lonely Planet Mauritius, Reunion & Seychelles

I always buy a lonely planet guide when travelling to a new country. They are sooo useful. Wouldn't travel without one.

Wie immer ein sehr guter Reisebegleiter mit sehr vielen Tipps, Insider Hinweisen und Ausflugsideen. Im Vergleich zu anderen Lonely Planets für größere Länder sind nur wenige hundert Seiten relevant für Mauritius.

We used this to plan a week's touring holiday in Mauritius and for that it was OK. However, some of the content is just not true – as if the reviewer had never actually been to some of the places it talks about! The praise of the food is over-rated too: we found it hard to find a truly good restaurant. The street food is not all that it is hyped to be either. That having been said, there are few alternatives and this book was good enough (togteher with a map) to plan a very enjoyable holiday.

It is a typical Lonely Planet, with all good things about it and its limitations. To me this is "the bible"
