Fits Dell Inspiron 5775
I've had an ultra reliable Dell Inspiron 5775 17" laptop for years. I've had the battery and power supply changed in that time. Recently the fan began making noise and it was obviously beginning to fail. I knew I had to go in and at very least clean it out, but the noise made me think that would be a stopgap at best. I went to Amazon looking for a replacement. I found this which visually looked the same but this doesn't list the Inspiron 5775 as a valid model. But for the low price, I thought I'd give it a shot. Fit perfectly. My laptop is now back to silence (yes, it's running - I verified!). So even though it doesn't list the 5775 model, it works flawlessly and is relatively easy to swap out. Also came with a screwdriver and plastic pry tool - things I didn't actually need but handy to have anyway!

Finally, a quiet cooling fan for my Dell laptop!
I bought this for my Dell Inspiron 17 3000 Series Model 3793 purchased brand new in June of 2020. From the very first day of operation right out of the box, the cooling fan would often make horrible scraping noises as if the fan blade was rubbing against its housing. Because it was still functioning, I thought it just might need some time to "work itself in." Not so. It only got worse. As it was still under warranty, I contacted Dell for support. They sent me a return box and told me that the turnaround time from me sending it in to receiving it back was about 2 weeks. I cannot go that long without the use of a computer. So I ordered this item, received it in a couple of days, and installed it myself in a little over an hour. The fan fit and connected perfectly, and I now have a quiet functioning laptop! Shame on Dell for sending out a brand new laptop with an audibly defective component! I highly recommend this item.

Making noise and failing after 2 months
After only 60 days, the fan is making noise like something is rubbing. I fear it will totally fail soon. I'd like a replacement free as this must be a defective fan. I don't see how to contact the seller but would like to hear from them ASAP

working fine in Inspiron 17 5770 But...
This when you have the service manual instructions, this working fine over a few months in a Dell Inspiron 17 5770. Working great, But Service After the Sale> The original one of these i ordered came with No Plug on the wires coming out of the fan, okay, they refunded me when i ordered another one, and didn't say a word about returning needing to return the old one. So they credited me for the first defective one i bought another to correct it at the time. So now, months later they have Amazon email me that they have re-billed me because they did not receive it back. They did not want it back as i recall. Ok. So I am very Not happy with this vendor or the part that came partially assembled. However, the replacement is working fine in the laptop. Service after the sale go figure, they didn't want back it back nor said that they do or did. So no, I am not happy with this vendor.

Using in Dell Inspiron 3793
I bought a refurbished Dell laptop a year-ish ago. The fan always made a funky noise from time to time but I couldn’t be bothered to send it back, so I ignored it until the warranty expired… at which point, the fan outright stopped working and my laptop began making the most wretched sound on earth every time it booted up and giving me an error that the fan wasn’t working.I searched here by type of laptop and this one seemed like a good fit. I am not a technical person at all but I’ve popped a few computers open to swap out hard drives and figured I could manage this too.I didn’t even bother looking up instructions. Swapping out the parts was insanely intuitive. The hardest part was figuring out which screws went where when I was putting the case back on at the end.Afterwards, it booted up like normal and the fan started working right away. I use my laptop for probably 10 hours a day 5-6 days per week and have had the replacement fan in for a month or two now. No issues whatsoever. Very happy with it.

CPU FAN
I have a dell 5570 laptop that had a squeaky noise. Determine that the cooling fan bearings were causing the noise Replaced the fan with a generic brand which has worked great. Cost between the OEM product and the generic brand was well worth it.
