Very satisfied with the product
This is the third time that I have to replace my replacement valve and the first couple of times I ordered the original replacement, but after reading the reviews for this product I decided to give it a try. Arrived earlier than expected, nicely packaged with a hand written thank you note and one sticker on the outside with another thank you note. This is a nice touch that you don’t see that often anymore. It is a small business and we need to support them. The replacement fits like a glove and works like a charm, there is a slight difference in the design, but must be a patent issue, but the work is perfect and flawless, I would recommend to my fellow Texans that saw the hard freeze couple of weeks ago, go with this product, save money and you will have the same results.

Seems like a no brainer replacement, don't give you silicone grease for the o-ring through
THis item came on the earliest of the listed range of dates.Last year I used the Febco kit to repair my PVBThis year I used the Blue Heron one because the Febco kit was out of stock at my preferered supplier, this was the cheapest alternate solution. The kit went in with no issues and appears to work.My 2 comments:1. It appears to be a little beefier than the Febco OEM replacements. This could be good or bad... Supposedly the kit parts are the weak link to prevent freezing and cracking the brass housing which is expensive and a pain to repair. So if its too strong then the protection is lost, If its stronger then may it won't break as quickly but still will fail and protect the housing.2. they give no instructions and no small packet of silcone grease for the o-rings; the Febco kit does. The grease tube I had to buy cost me $4 which eliminates much of the savings.I have had two Febco PVB bonnets break despite wrapping the breaker. I think we hit the mid twenties overnight which is very cold for here (southern texas). I hope not to find out is the Blue heron is better because I am prepared now to drain the fitting.

Very disappointed and surprised
Barely lasted a year. I live on the gulf coast in a warm climate. This should not have broken so quickly after mild winter conditions. Very disappointed and surprised. Flooded my yard and no doubt hammered my next water bill.

Fantastic alternative to the original part. The plastic used on this model is much more durable and will last longer.
Works fantastic!! I'm very happy with this and because it's not made of a brittle (very hard) plastic, it's less likely to break. The original Febco 765 would frequently break. This model has already lasted one winter without issue. And because the plastic is of a softer type, it'll be more flexible (less likely to break) when turning the water on after winter is over.Fantastic alternative to the original part. The plastic used on this model is much more durable and will last. The OEM model frequently broke.

Not the original
We purchased this backflow repair kit after our original cracked during a freeze. We chose to replace the original with this kit as it seemed less fragile of a plastic. Sadly, we've had this new kit installed for almost a year now and were having constant issues with water flooding our backyard. We hired an irrigation company to come take a look and they pointed out that this backflow kit has been slowly leaking for months now. Ugh.

Easy Fix for Broken Backflow Valve
Even if I have the sprinker system blown out in the fall, a cold winter can freeze and break the backflow system. This replacement for the valve assembly is a perfect fit for the FEBCO 765. R&R requires all of 5 minutes. I've paid as much as $150 to have the sprinker fixed to landscapers. I'm glad this part is available thru Amazon.

Don't Waste Your $$$ on a Plumber
Our valve froze and broke during the hard freeze Pearland experienced in January. Home Depot did not carry replacement valves and I got a lecture how city codes prohibited me from fixing my own sprinkler without the assistance from a plumber. That made me all the more determined to fix it myself, especially considering how I don't live in Pearland city limits. I decided to take a chance and buy the Blue Heron brand. The plastic on my old valve did not seem very robust. Once I found and watched this video I was ready to go. ([...]) It was a little challenging getting the old broken valve out, but putting the new valve in took all of two minutes. I have checked a few times and seen no signs of leakage. Our sprinkler is running just fine so would say it is doing the job it is supposed to do. No complaints from me!

The Blue Heron part was VERY easy to install
The Febco 765 1 Inch Repair Kit by Blue Heron was cheaper & way easier to install than the Repair kit by Febco. The Blue Heron part installed without leaking on my very first attempt. Last year I used the Febco Repair Kit and it leaked on my first 6 installation attempts. I had to use a combination of teflon tape, a marine grade grease, & high tork to stop the leaking on the Febco part. That process took me about 45 minutes. The Blue Heron part took me 1 minute to install. I just screwed the Blue Heron part until hand tight and then another 1/8 to 1/4 turn with a pipe wrench. If you want to save time and money, buy this Blue Heron part. The only thing I don't know about the Blue Heron part is whether it works properly to prevent the Febco 765 Brass housing from cracking during a freeze. Time will tell, but I'm definitely happy so far. Thanks Blue Heron.
