IMPRESSIVE!
This is the best alarm clock that I have EVER owned! I was searching everywhere for something with a few of the features I require an alarm clock to have. Every alarm clock had good and bad reviews, and would only have one or two of the requirements I had come to expect a clock radio to have. This one has no radio but focuses on the weather, so it isn't even listed as an alarm clock (even though it should be considering it is probably the best one out there). I am not a technical person, but I will do my best to list the features that I think are awesome about this beautiful little jewel:Pros:Comes with a 15 page manual, although everything was simple enough to set up in a few minutes without any instructions.Cool + / - sensor pads that work very efficiently without bulky buttons to get stuck or wear out.Gives indoor and outdoor (from remote device which needs 2 AAA's) temperature and humidity that may only be 70-75% accurate, but I only need a good idea to start my day. You can change from Fahrenheit to Celsius and view high and low of both values for the day before they reset at midnight.Has easy to see at a glance pictures of the current outside weather (obtained from analyzing barometric pressure and humidity) as well as "forecast tendency indicators" that tell you if the weather will improve, stay the same or worsen since it learns the weather in your location after a few days.Proudly displays a colorful LED rim light at the unit's base that changes color to show the current weather forecast according to a preset color: Yellow-sunny / Green-partly cloudy / Purple-cloudy / Dark Blue-rainy / Red-thunderstorm / White-snow. This can also be set to any One single color all the time or alternate through all the colors in rainbow order, can be bright, dimmed or off and flashes when the alarm goes off.I love all the rainbow colors on this thing, like the functioning second hand rainbow dial, that make me feel festive and happy. If it is too bright to sleep by, the snooze button also functions to dim the display or turn it off altogether.Charges your devices (I charged the camcorder and the kindle without having to turn on the computer) via the handy USB port (USB cords not included).Personally, the best features are the dual alarms: program them independently for single time, weekends only or Monday thru Friday. You can have one alarm set for Mon-Fri work hours and one for weekend naps/sleep-ins (or maybe one alarm for her, one for him), They don't make any annoying "pop" when the alarm initiates as other alarms I have owned in the past did. Easy to reach snooze button (10 min.) right on the top of the unit so there is no fumbling around trying to find the correct button among many. Also, easy to turn off completely, just tap either + / - sensor pad....done until next day without breaking a nail on hard to press switches (so easy, love it!).Alarms have 4 different wake sounds, that all start soft and get progressively louder over 5 minutes: birds, soft musical notes, relaxing sounds, and the typical high pitched beeping for those who have trouble waking. I like the relaxing sounds as they don't irritate me like the beeping does. There is a spot for backup battery (takes 3 AA's) so the unit keeps time and settings if the power goes out.Of course, this clock wouldn't be complete without the atomic time. You can tell when it is receiving signal when you see the icon light up. It has all the American time zones including Alaska and Hawaii. Atomic feature can be turned off, but I like it because it sets the daylight savings time for me and I don't have to remember to do it. (Nice, very nice!)Let's not forget the Bluetooth capability for the kid in all of us. This station boasts a Bluetooth speaker that syncs up with your mobile device via a button on the front. Touch + / - sensor pads to adjust volume. Stops music if you get a call, then starts back up when call is complete. If you have other music devices that don't have Bluetooth (like my old Sansa MP3 player) you can just connect to the 3.5 mm audio input port instead of Bluetooth. The speakers are very good quality for the price (may not be Bose, but if I wanted Bose I would need to put down some serious coin for it). Speakers are crisp and clean sounding, no static or crackling sounds like my old clock radio had.Cons: (for some)No radio, but I didn't want a radio because one random morning you wake to awful loud hissing of static because the dial was nudged. If power is out and unit has backup batteries in, it keeps time and setting but does not sound the alarm (probably because the progressive/crescendo alarm would kill the batteries).(...) (very nice instruction video if you want to see how to program/set up)

Tips for getting atomic time to work
Some tips to get the atomic time working:The station does not continuously receive the atomic time signal from Colorado. It "listens" for the signal only at night. When the radio icon is showing on the screen during normal use, it only means that the weather station was able to recently (within the previous 24 hours or so) synchronize with the atomic time signal. The radio icon showing during normal use does NOT mean that the weather station is currently receiving the atomic time signal.Any plug-in AC to DC switching power supply (commonly called a "wall wart"), including the one supplied with this unit, creates radio noise that interferes with the atomic time signal. The station attempts to get around this problem by turning off the backlight when it "listens" for the atomic time signal. By turning off the backlight, it reduces the amount of electrical power used, which should greatly reduce the radio interference generated by the wall wart which makes it easier for the weather station to receive the atomic time signal.Depending on how strong the atomic signal is at your location, you might need to take some additional steps:turn off Bluetooth before night time. The Bluetooth can interfere with the atomic time signal reception.move the weather station away from where the wall wart is plugged in; the cord is fairly long so you've got some room to move the unit.make sure there aren't other active switching power supply wall warts (like a cell phone charger) near the weather stationreplace the supplied switching power supply with a linear 120 V AC to 5 V DC power supply. Linear power supplies are the big clunky ones. They are heavy but last longer and don't generate radio interference like the smaller switching power supplies.move closer to Fort Collins CO (near the 60 kHz WWVB atomic time transmistter)Hope this helps, besides the finicky atomic time this unit is pretty good.

4.5 stars - I searched high and low to get everything in one device
I searched high and low to get everything I wanted in one device for a reasonable rate. I bought and returned a few different models.I wanted:-A colored clock, the black and white digital was hard to read during the day. Most models weren't bright enough, this one has brightness settings in case you use it for an alarm clock in the bedroom.-Speakers for music. This has a USB outlet to connect your phone charger and is Bluetooth so you can listen to your music.-Indoor and Outdoor temp along with humidity %. This has that along with date and time.I put this in my bathroom so I know what the temperature and humidity levels are before I get dressed. It also helps if I'm getting up early to go run, so I can be sure humidity/ heat isn't too high. Easier to glance at than an app when only one eye is open. :)I should probably put batteries in the main piece for the backup so I don't have to reset it each time the power goes out or I move it.It only got 4.5 stars because:I have replaced the batteries on the outside thermometer already in about 6-7 months. And, even though DST (daylight savings) is turned off, sometimes it ends up back on and the hour needs to be reset. That could be a user error, but I'm not sure how.I originally purchased one (from Sam's when it first came out) and it died right at 11 months. I returned for a full refund, but they no longer carried it. So I bought this from Amazon with the 2-year warranty for an extra $4-5.

The colour glow is the upcoming forecast!!!
Cute little device! I originally bought it as a bedroom alarm clock/radio, but it lacked some features for this purpose. I am now using it in my office. It comes with an outdoor thermometer transmitter, which sends realtime updates of the temperature and humidity outside. The picture included is the screen on the mid level brightness. I was unable to use it in the bedroom because the screen was too bright for sleeping. Although there is an option to turn the screen completely off, I like to be able to see the time when I wake up. My favourite feature is the weather forecast feature. On screen, it states the forecast (pictured as rain) and indicates the future weather tendency (the arrow points left, which means staying the same). The best part of the forecast feature is the colour glow on the base of the machine. It has multiple settings (including off, rotating, steady) but it also contains colour coding for the FORECAST! Blue, as in the picture, indicates upcoming rain. Green is partially sunny, red is thunderstorm.... I love being able to glance at the colour glow from across the house and see what the upcoming weather will be!Other features include two alarms, which can be set for one time only, daily, M-F, etc. There's also a blue tooth speaker with adequate quality and easy to set up and turn on.This item is missing two main features for me personally: the ability to switch time to a 24 hour clock, and lack of an app to control settings/colours etc. Would also have been nice if a radio was available.

Important to know !!
ProsNot really sure . Not worth 90$ for sure .ConsSpeaker sounds echoish not really that goodScreen too small tbhNo imperial conversionToo much information on tiny screen can barely read anything .Can't see anything if using on battery as the only way to keep the screen on is to plug it in.That being said I know it's a battery saving feature but what if I want to place the unit somewhere where I can see the temperature from. But if you are not plugged in, you manually have to hit snooze to see anything. Not really impressed. Waste of money tbh .Buy a smart display or a bigger screen temperature gauge.
