I expected a dry list of discoveries, inventions and dates, but was pleasantly surprised at the inclusive style of writing: lots of background on the product, the sources, modes of production and a very comprehensive list of discoveries and inventions that led up to the modern synthetics.Nice to see that much credit is given to the unsung heroes who did most of the groundwork which prompted the breakthroughs of those we remember, like Dunlop, Goodyear, Goodrich et al.A very readable and informative book.
