Good sealing for water drum.
Was bought to transfer water from drum to irrigation system through a hose.With a rough cut hole this sealed up no problem.

A robust item
A very sturdy item. I wanted something to fit to my waterbutt, I wanted to divert water to my pond and other places for when the rain had filled the waterbutts, instead of it going to waste. I originally had a plastic elbow fitted but that hot brittle - this will outlive any number of waterbutts as they get replaced, so will prove to be excellent value for money

Flawed
This looks like a decent product and is well machined. However it has a fundamental flaw - the parts do not have any significant flange. This means that if you use the supplied rubber washers and tighten the large nut up, it will just squish the rubber washer out, instead of forming a good seal. Likewise, the insert with the barb has no flange at all, so there is no way to put a washer in between the insert and the large cylinder that it screws into. The only way to get this to seal properly is to throw away the washers, jam the large joint up with loads of plumber's mait and tighten that up on the water butt, and then wind loads of PTFE tape around the insert before screwing that in and hoping for the best. It only needs a very small change to the design to make it sensible.

Fitted in place of a water butt tap to make a sight glass.Fitted no problems. Used the extra seals as spacers between elbow and butt so I could fit a tube.Good quality brass. Hasn't leaked tightened by hand. Used plumbers tape on threads.

Past, hält, funktioniert
Hallo,ich habe das Teil an einer Regentonne oben befestigt um einen Schlauch als Überlauf von der Tonne ins Blumenbeet abzuleiten. Dafür habe ich ein Stück unter dem Rand der Tonne ein Loch mit einem Forstnerbohrer gebohrt.Tipp: Eine Lochkreissäge ginge sicher besser, dann hat man nicht so viele Spähne beim Bohren und es geht wahrscheinlich auch schneller.+ Die Teile sind maßhaltig und passen gut zueinander+ der Zusammenbau ist einfach+ ein 13mm-Schlauch kann mit einer Schlauchschelle fefestigt werden (preisgünstigere Befestigung als wenn man auf einen Gardena-Anschluss angewiesen wäre)+ nun läuft mein Fass nicht mehr über und das "überflüssige" Wasser kommt bei den Pflanzen an statt neben meiner Regentonne zu versickern* Falls ihnen die Rezension weiter hilft würde ich mich über eine positive Bewertung freuen *

raccord de qualité, mais les joints manquent de dureté et donc tournent au serrage et se déforment.être minutieux au montage.
