Beading: Techniques and Projects to Build a Lifelong Passion For Beginners Up

I love this book. I've been away from beading for a long time and needed some clarification on processes. My questions are all addressed and the unexpected bonus is the projects in the book are quite appealing. This is an excellent resource.

So much information! This is a fantastic resource for any beginning beader; basic tools, bead types, and techniques are covered in-depth, and a wide variety of projects are included to help you practice each of the skills addressed. Great colour and design choices mean that the end results look far and above what typical "beginner" beadwork often does (I know this from experience!), and variation schematics inset throughout the pages allow for endless creative adaptations. Even as an advanced beader, I have a copy of this book to be able to teach students most effectively with--it's bright, concise, and chock full of ideas and tips without being overwhelming or overly wordy. Great layout and organisation, as well. Jean Power knows her stuff, and yet again, this book proves it!

I'm not a beader but needed some basics to help a group of kids with a beading project. The book worked for me, with helpful tips and needed know how, to get me through the event. And, I have to admit, it makes me want to make some jewelry. So... I'd recommend reading some reviews from people who do bead regularly as well, to see what they think of the book.

I have a large library of beading book. This one is great for a beginner as she shows you the stitches. I am happy to have it in my library.

Book came in good shape and there's a lot of useful info for beginners and more advanced beaders. About half the book is devoted to bead weaving which I have no interest in.

Jean Power's work is always interesting. She is a creative bead artist, teacher, and author. Her work is often innovative, always colorful, well designed, and attractive. As an experienced bead artist of many years I still found this "entry level" book to contain challenges and fresh looks at tried-and-true techniques. I think I have most of Jean's books and I'll look for the next one too. They are fun, fresh, clearly written, and full of beady inspiration. Recommend this one for any level bead artist, you'll enjoy it for sure!

I am an experienced bead artist but bought this book because of how much I admire the work of Jean Power. I was literally blown away by the amount of information contained in this book. About half my beading library in one book.Jean covers everything from stitches, wirework, loom weaving, stringing, materials, tools, projects and even decorative knotting.This is one of the best beading books I've ever seen that could carry you from the beginning to a career!!Brava Jean!

THIS IS A WONDERFUL BEADING BOOK. YOU LEARN MOST OF WHAT IS IMPORTANT. AND THERE IS SO MUCH TO LEARN AND BEAUTIFUL NECKLACES TO MAKE. EXCELLENT BOOK.

Inhaltlich gut, gute Erklärungen und schöne Projekte. Aber zu 100% gleiches Buch wie 'Woman's Weekly Guide to Beading' (ISBN 978-1-78221-384-0) !

I found it to be to technical for a beginner. Instructions not clear enough.
