Fit perfect on the Sthil weed eater

Would not fit on my FS38, had to take out the spring it came with as it was too long and replaced with spring from my old spool in order for it to fit.

It’s very durable and decent quality. It fit perfectly on my Stihl gas trimmer as listed in the compatibility guide. Pretty simple to use. Pull out a few feet of line, run it through one side and pull it through the other, then even both sides up. Grab the head, which is explained in the instructions, and twist. As you twist, the line automatically winds itself up in the head. It has cut my time in half or even more when I need to replace the line in my trimmer now. For the money, this is definitely the way to go.

I got this BGTOOL Autocut C 6-2 to replace an after market Autocut C 5-2 on a Stihl FSE 60 because it was no longer functioning after one year and because the C 6-2 used a heavier string and the string could supposedly be much more easily rewound than the C 5-2. However, I could never get the string on the C 6-2 to pay out when bumping. Each time the string broke off I had to take the head off to pay out the string. I gave up on it after the installed string was used up. The original Stihl head that came with the trimmer lasted about 10 years. The C 5-2 bump head worked well for most of a season. The C 6-2 was essentially useless.

Purchase this for my Stihl FS45 Weed wacker. It's it was extremely easy to install and it was extremely quick. Adding new addingTo this trimmer head is quick and simple. I really do wish I would not have waited so long to to make this upgrade.. If you don't have 1 get 1 quick cause it makes life a lot easier.

I have nothing negative to report of this item. It's very easy to install and it works perfectly. I would definitely purchase again.

I don't normally write product reviews, but I had to for this one. This trimmer head works exactly as described, and then some. I have a Stihl FS38 trimmer, and as stated by another reviewer, the trimmer shaft must be facing up during installation so that the trimmer head is facing down. That way, the internal nut in the trimmer head will drop down low enough to be able to catch the threads of the trimmer shaft. Before installation, I removed the trimmer line that was included, as I prefer my own. Once the head was installed, I was able to load it with 12 feet of trimmer line just like in the video, and I could not believe how fast and easy it was. I've been using the 'old' style trimmer heads for the last 30 years, and would dread having to refill the line when it ran out, because it was always a 10-15 min process that was awkward and tedious. It literally took me less than 2 minutes to load the line on this new head, and I'll be faster next time now that I have a feel for it. Instead of cutting two 6-foot lengths as I normally did, I cut one 12-foot length of line, pushed it through the trimmer head and out to the other side, and pulled it through until there was 6 feet of line on each side. From there I pressed & turned the grey spool in the direction indicated by the arrows, and the trimmer line spooled right up. Done. I was already impressed with the spooling system alone, but now it was time to use it. To my surprise, I completed the entire perimeter of my lawn without having to bump the trimmer head a single time to feed more line. This new head was auto-feeding line as I went, and this is something that was not mentioned in the product's description. It was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. I initially hesistated on purhasing this product because of the negative reviews claiming it didn't work, or that it was a traditional style head that did not load as stated, but I can tell you that these reviews are wrong. It IS a quick load trimmer head, it loads exactly as shown in the video, and it is compatible with the trimmer models that are listed in the product description. Stihl needs to adopt and make this spooling system standard issue on their trimmers, as it has the same # of parts as a traditional head, so the costs would be the same. To the designers of this product, well done! Instead of dreading when next the trimmer line will run out, I'm looking forward to it so I can refill it again!

After determining it didn’t fit my STIHL FS38, I requested a refund. Before I packed it up, I thought I’d try one more time. it fit, and so far I’m happy with it.INSTALLATION1. Take the supplies line out2. Turn your trimmer upside down - the nut inside the head has some travel space - this allows the nut to “drop” lower and catch the threads3. Line up the arrows on the black hub with those on the grey inner hub4. Feed the line back through to equal lengths5. Turn the inner hub to spoil the lineFYI, you would be able to spook about 6ft+/- if line in total.
