Very sturdy
Bought this for my old Stanley axe head that I recently overhauled. The wood is built well and sturdy. I ended up sanding all the logos off and the finish it had on it and put boiled linseed oil on it. Feels much better and ended up pretty nice. I spent 30 bucks on another handle for my Winchester axe and this handle is of the same quality. Overall, very good handle for the money.

Easily shaped
It was very easy to get it to fit my small hatchet head. Thought it was impossible purely due to the size of the eye but it was very easy to shave down and even easier to secure.

a good value for the price.
There isn't too much you can say about a tool handle, but this one arrived quickly, went on easily and has been holding up very well.

Bad image good product.
I had an old mattock head and for years I have checked at any hardware/lumberyard/etc. I encountered to no avail. On a whim I checked on Amazon, and the Truper 30810 replacement handle for 2 1/2 pound pick, #7 eye was listed. The picture looked hand drawn, no detail, but out of the desire to finally clear a project from the books I ordered it. On arrival (which was rapid as promised) the handle was straight grained and well made, no burrs, sealed wood handle. The head slipped on, and after a few taps on the floor, I was in business. Came at the right time as I was digging in this rich Minnesota soil (which if you are from up here you realize there is usually about equal parts rocks to dirt). Very pleased.

Handle not attached to metal tip -- Horrible!!
What could go wrong with such a simple product? Glad you asked, so I shall explain....You have a wooden handle (nothing special) that fits into a metal tip with thread's to go into a broom or end of your choice. One little problem with this piece of junk handle... The wood handle pulls right out of the metal tip. A baby could remove it without even trying.I am not going to bother sending it back because I'm handy enough to repair this piece of junk to make it functional, but had I known that the wooden handle slides loosely into the metal tip with no mechanism to keep it firmly attached, then I wouldn't have paid 50 cents for this product. So, what I will end up doing is using powerful glue to first glue the wooden handle into the tip. After that sets, then I will install screws through the metal tip into the wooden handle. All of this will hold it together and it will be fine, but why should I rebuilt a product before I can use it for the first time??There MUST be better broom handles than this one!!If you're looking for a broom handle, my advice is to Keep Looking... This ain't the ONE!!

Misfit
This shoulders of this handle were too large to fit the key of a 1 1/4 lb. boy scout axe head without extensive fitting. The handle itself was roughly finished at the top and would require some sanding to make it suitable for comfortable handling. On a positive note, the orientation of the grain was perfect, so this should be very resistant to breakage.

Solid handle with 1 wood and 2 metal wedges
Perfect handle for a small axe.

Bad grain orientation
It's a handle, grain orientation is completely terrible however, so really only good for light use or decorative purposes.

Too small for axe head
The handle is too small for the eye of the axe head more suited for hammer or small tomahawk
